Lote - played strong

His best game in a while today I thought. Ran hard and strong and got involved.

(cue comment on playing for contract…)

Playing a lot better at the moment

A few on here may want to start looking at pulling the foot out of their mouths in regards to comments made about Lote a month ago

When you manage to get the size 12 out , maybe an apology to the bloke might be in order

Yeah Lote did well. Has gotten progressively better with each game since his return. He's going to make it hard not re-sign him me thinks.

I liken him to Galloway in that he takes a few weeks to wind up to his best football when returning from injury. A hard day at the office for the Tigers outside backs with no genuine 6 in the side, and not having Robbie's initial creativyt out of dummyhalf also hurt, but Lote was good today.

He is still a fan favourite. The cheer for him before the game was the closest to Benjis, even bigger than Beaus.

Lote did play very well today. Have to credit when it is due. He has been gradually improving week on week which is good for him and the team. He has had a fantastic career across both codes which is an incredible achievement.

In saying that, isn't it an amazing trend that footballers generally lift a gear when their contracts are in the process of being negotiated? Happens at every club. Good luck to Lote and hope he get more money for his family and future.

Now, I know this is tough, but I hope Lote gets more cash albeit from another club for next year because his best years are behind him and we have plenty of wingers in the squad and coming through the ranks that will cost much less and will do just as well, if not better.

A lot better today that's for sure. But that leas me in two minds. I don't know whether to be happy r to be peeved that he's just pulling his finger out all f a sudden when his career is on the line. One good match doesn't warrant an apology to Lote. It's not like he play for free.

He is really playing himself into this season after not a lot of game time in the last year and a bit isnt he?

Lets see if he keeps it up next week because today he was one of our best.

He looked really unfit at the beginning of this season. He is playing much better now because he is gaining match fitness. And he will get better still.
If we resign him, it won't be for much more than any other winger , as lote attracts sponsors and can draw a healthy 3rd party deal to make up his contract. He also helps promote the club and in that brings something to the club that other wingers can't.
I like him, but I also like Marty utai, and beauy, and those young Fijian flyers. Lolll how many wingers can we have????????
