Or Simona? Played about 20mins against the Rabbitohs there and killed it. I recall him sprinting the ball back at full pelt straight at the defence. Wouldn't be my first pick but I reckon he could be a smokey.

Nofoaluma. He has played some of his junior football at fullback and was a fullback for Wests before Tedesco came onto the scene. I think Tim Simona is worth a shot before young David at this stage.

Teddy will be there when he overcomes his knee reco and is back to full strength .

I remember that game… And yeah he returned the ball back like all good fullbacks should.. First time I saw that from a WT fullback in 2 years... Too bad Shenious didn't see that same and keep him at FB

I read a month ago that our ceo said we want to re sign him but only when we know what the salary cap is for next year.

That's the last I heard…he must be a very trusting man Lote. Hope he has something in writing.

As far as fullback goes Mr Potter wants a fullback that will bring the ball back make the metres and support up the middle. Tedesco and Lote are both in rehab with Meaney and Moltzen training in that position so far.

Either Moltzen or Meaney will merely be keeping the jumper warm before young Ted rightfully wears the number 1 jersey and leads the Wests Tigers to world domination. Lote will have enough competition of his own holding down a wing spot in 2013 IMO.

If Moltzen gets some guts I think it'll be fine.
Its better Tedesco doesnt have a red carpet to his position anyway. Attitude is far easier to fix than anything else

Would assume he has signed & wouldnt be surprised if he plays Fullback if Tedesco is not ready to play the first game.

Are you serious, Sheens wasn't even silly enough to play him at fullback. He would be about number 10 on the list IMO.
Tedescoe, Moltzen, Rowe, Noffa, Lawrence, Ayshford, Meaney, Reddy, Fulton and if they were all out injured maybe Lote.

Sheens said in an interview when his signing was announced that fullback or wing was where he would be playing for the Tigers and that he had many more seasons of top level RL left in him.The story is that after watching him under the high ball in training the fullback position was ruled out but it may have been a Sheens ploy as opposition Teams certainly targeted him with kicks in his early games for the Tiges on the wing.

Sheens actually stated several times fullback position covers a LOT of ground these days and he wasnt sure Lotes legs were up to it….or words to that effect

my brother , who is currently on holiday in vanuatu , bumped into Lote in Port Vila on Sunday .

He wished Lote well for the season and Lote had good things to say about Mick Potter .

Thanks for the info vlad. I have high hopes for Potter as I think he is the one - our Neo.

He has discipline and already oozes success. Lets hope he doesn't have problems dealing with the pressure should the team lose 3 or 4 games in a row.

Suspect its all about the $$$..
Lote probably believes the past two seasons of bumbling & fumbling on the rare occasion he made it onto the ground are a direct consequence of his injuries,&that he's still worth every bit of the 400k we were paying him for at least another two seasons…
Detached objective observers(& a reality check) wld suggest that all the above is a normal & predictable consequence of a athlete who has performed at the peak level for 15 seasons or so & who'se body (& confidence levels)are now in serious decline.
If Lote wants to prove the latter theory incorrect he shld sign on a match fee basis & back himself to demonstrate otherwise

That might be curtains on Lotes NRL career. Very hard to come back at this point. Shame he struggled with injuries over the last few years, he is a genuinely great player when in form and injury free.

Wonder if he will hang up the boots after 2013 or attempt to head back to union either here or overseas?

I's very hard to see him being offered even a 1 year deal now. Personally i'd like to keep him on board even as just a mentor for this season. Guess we'll just have to wait to see how this plays out.
