Lote set to retire

Dunno if it's been posted but strong word is lote will now retire.

Not sure of an official announcement timeframe but this is the word sweeping around concord today

Hopefully it clears the path for one of the young boys or an up and comer who we will get a good few year out of.

It would not surprise me if this becomes true but i'm hoping not. It would be a sad way to end it all. Hopefully the surgery goes well and he becomes inspired to make it back on the park.

The Tigers should try and keep him in some role though.
The guy has enormous respect among players and is highly sought after for corporate events - there has to be a spot for him somewhere in the organisation.

Massive Lote fan, He is very eloquent and very recognizable.

CEO Humpries and Coach Sheens are big fans as well and I am sure he will retain his association with the Tigers.

Indeed. Would have liked to see him at least go out with a win and bagging a try or two. That break he suffered looked quite nasty, in an unusual spot in the arm also. There may be issues with regaining full strength in it etc. It would be good if the club kept him on in some sort of role as he is quite marketable.

Hope he takes up an ambassador role in some sorts with us.
Fantastic guy, shame injuries has ruined his form and ended his year. Definitely deserved a better send off.

I agree,I think his body is not up to it anymore,sad really,but he would be great to have around the club,the players,fans and media love him,all the best Lote with what ever you do.

Shame to go out this way, he deserves better.

Will never forget his debut in 2010, scoring with his first touch was brilliant. He was fantastic that year. Plagued by injuries in the next two, such a shame.

Beau Ryan has backed his injured West Tigers teammate Lote Tuqiri to return bigger and better from his broken arm.
