Beau Ryan is not a loss, Korbiete has shown a lot more promise in backing up and line break ability that Ryan.
Utai also creates a lot more line breaks and a lot more impact out of dummy half.
I would wager that Tuqiri will be able to provide a lot more guidance to the younger Fijian wingers also (although I can't prove that)

And who is honestly genuinely upset about Heighno leaving for his playing ability?

I'm pretty sure we won 7 in a row with him OUT of the side and Bell in there doing what a lock should do. Take a hit up and make effective tackles.

And to summarise, I can't believe people are blowing up at the club regarding their membership. If you don't re-sign then how dear you get one when we are doing well.

This makes more sense. With koriobete and nofoaluma coming through we didn't need a winger for 3 yrs but we need another winger for next year. Lote will be back to full fitness and will play solid and will more then do a job. Also for the cost of beau on our salary cap we are prob able to pay -Utai, koriobete, nofoaluma and lote ( given its lote's last yr and I would say the majority of his contract isn't under the cap) . This will be a good move

I am getting on in years and one thing that I have learned during all that time is to never, and I mean NEVER, knock a champion. They have a habit of making their critics look stupid.

Let's just wait and see what happens during next year.

As for Ryan, he was offered a three year contract but it seems he got a bigger one from Cronulla. End of story.

He'd want to, we've got something like 19 appearances over the last two years out of him. It's not even about who's the better winger between Tuqiri and Ryan, it's a question of who might actually play some matches.

I hope I'm wrong, I love watching Lote in full flight when he's fit. My concern is that we've let a healthy reliable back go to keep a player who might just give us half a dozen games.

Still, I don't have the medical reports in front of me. The physios at Concord may have reason to be more confident.

Lote should only be permitted to take the field if he can do so without that ridiculous strapping around his wrist. I don't think he can play well enough with it on and is the reason behind his consistent mistakes. I think it's an idiotic move by the club and one that will come back to bite us.

Guarantee that Lote signed at a massively reduced rate. He would have had to have been signed at under what Beau Ryan got at the Sharks, think of it that way.

Don't kid yourself thinking that last night Sheens and Humpty rang Lote and got him in at midnight to sign a deal

If Lote got his timing back do you think he would offer more as a centre than Ayshford? Hes bigger and faster than Ayshford.Lawrence says he is ok playing right centre, so maybe Lote on the left guiding Koro? Could be a more effective backline than last year.

Yes but there would have to have been a reason they signed him over Beau. Beau had his deal outlined to him 10 weeks ago. I assume Lote came back in the mean time accepting a deal that was less than what Beau had and with the emergence of Koroibete … well that spelt problems for Beau.
