Round one ,I think anything can happen and I agree with GRN we have things going against us but this early in the season I'm still hopeful and think we can upset them and grab 2 points , can't wait

Yep. We scored more tries than the Sharks in the trail but that ended in a draw. The conversions against Melb wasn't to flash either. Hopefully we get some good consistency there.

So to get them early, before the new players have clicked, might be the best time.
No Farah and Brooks will hurt.
The Warriors have had all pre- season to click, haven't they?
We also have a few new players in the team… Who wins is anybody's guess. :supporter:

Couldn't agree more. It's rd 1 so who knows what will happen. These 2 teams are looking to improve a lot on what they offered last year, didn't the Warriors lose quite a few at the latter part of the year? They're under plenty of pressure going into this game with all the expectations surrounding them. We on the other hand are being tipped for the spoon by plenty so if we lose nobody would think it a surprise so guess there's a little less pressure in that regard. But we played pretty well against a slick looking Sharks team who I think are specials to beat the Cowboys this weekend. Yep, it's a bit of a big call but I was more impressed with the Sharks than the Cowboys display in England. Anyway we'll see eh. So I give us a real good chance but, hey, who really knows. Might as well disregard my whole post.

Off topic, what is with the trend atm of people spelling Halatau's name ''Halatua''?

The Warriors lost most of their games after Johnson got injured. They also had guys like Matulino, Vatuvei and Leuluai out at various stages (including when they lost 50-16 to us at Campbelltown). I don't think their form at the tail end of last season means much given the squad they have at their disposal this year. I think our chance lies in the fact we are playing them early before they have a chance to bed down combinations. They **will** be dangerous once RTS, Luke and Johnson click.
