Love Lui Fanclub

It was good to give Lui a go, but so far, I'm not sold on him. Wish Sheens had given Lazarus a better go to make a comparison between the 2.

Hes a young kid, he makes some mistakes, etc, but whenever he seems to do something good, it seems the rest of the team dont seem to get that excited as they do for other players?

Why dont they show love to lui?

lui lui! oi oi oi

The rest of the team seemed pretty excited after Lui's try today..

Lui went up a couple of notches today…and he didn't look out of place.

Maybe he made some new friends down in Kiama during the week...good luck to him.

I'm not quite feeling the Love yet...maybe just a handshake at this stage....lets see what he does next week.

He did seem better yesterday, it might have been he had less traffic coming at him, Benji was targeted quite a bit and Lui was left to run

HAHAHA.
but yes, I agree, he looked much better yesterday in attack, aside from his jelly fingers over the line which luckily wasnt really too telling overall. and the boys showed him some love!

Robert Lui….A superstar in the making. Has a great passing game, reads the play very well, can bust a tackle and has a smart kicking game....All this and he is only 20 years old.

I'm a fan of Lui, I think he's doing reasonably well for a young half.

His defence is sus, but remember how bad Lawrence defence was 2 years ago, I remember everyone caning him after a missed tackle against Brisbane, now look at him.

Patience is a virtue!

Is it just me or is Lui looking a lot fitter than he was at the start of the year? He looked quite slim on Sunday whereas at the beginning of the year I thought he looked a bit like Leo Dynevor in his latter days.

IMO Lui's development and progression in FG is reliant upon how much Benji and Robbie allow him to get involved in the game. He saw a lot more ball than usual last Sunday and looked dangerous with the ball in his hands on numerous occaisions. I will concede that Penriff were most definitely not expecting him to as busy as he was, and therefore were too busy trying to contain Farah and Marshall which allowed Lui to fly under the radar.

Defence is an issue, he looks scared to put his body on the line. He is always arm grabbing or going for around the feet. Hopefully thats just in his head and a good off season working on his defence will see him comeback a safer prospect defending on the fringes.

Most importantly, it will be interesting to see how he stacks up over the next couple of games. There will be more pressure on him in the coming weeks because if he starts to see more ball the opposition will wise up to it and he will be targeted alot more.
