He was overpaid then I believe.
He was worth the 400k this season.
So it balances out.

There's a lot to like about him and what he brings to our team but he's not at the level of the Cordiners who get that sort of money, and he probably never will be?
I agree with those saying give him a short break during the game to ensure he is not playing gassed as he doesn't handle that very well in defence. But I seem to recall that one of the reasons he came here was so he wasn't coming off the bench. I think this situation can be handled though.

He was "firing" like a 10 year old spark plug.Defence was horrible.700k is at least 250k overs imo.
Let him go elsewhere,even the bulldogs would not pay him over 600k

Get Luc locked in before the deadline, we’ve had him cheaply until now - he’s transformed his body shape and motor under Madge, he was lazy at the Dragons. I rate him one of our best forwards, he has x-factor. If we can get Hodgson onboard (from Raiders) then I can see Luc having a field day with the creativity that he and Hastings will bring to this big unit running wide of the ruck.

Attack means nothing if your defence is ordinary.

We as a club have had shocking defence for last 10 years. The top teams all have good defenders in their squads.
Why are we resigning LL for another 3 years is beyond me. I cannot stand another 3 years of shocking defence from WT as a team.
He is the no 1 culprit in our team.
Till we get defensive players in our squad we won’t be making top 8 for years.
Garner had big improvement in defence this season tackling at 95% efficiency unlike LL who was very poor. Nobody rushing to sign him up yet trying to resign LL for 3 more years of poor defence. Any wonder we never make the top 8.

I don't think he was as fit this year and it really had an impact on his game, especially in defence. I wouldn't touch him at $700k a season, would be a huge mistake.

He’s been ok for us. He can be great in attack but I don’t see him as an 80min player and his defence doesn’t warrant $700k a year. I’d be paying him $450,000 maybe at a pinch $500,000 a season. I’m hoping the club don’t get strong-armed into paying overs but I guess this might be a litmus test to see how the club responds.
