where would moltz go? I would think the best option would be moltz at half and one of those two at fullback

i'd give Moltz a week or two in Reggies. He's playing like a spoilt brat at the moment.

I would play Moltz in the centres. He runs a good line and could combine well with Ayshford on the wing. Alternatively, as CT suggested shift Lawrence to the wing outside Moltz.

I would like to see Lawrence have a go at fullback but thats really pie in the sky stuff and is probably too much shifting.

I have seen Lazarus play the last 2 games for Balmain Ryde Eastwood and I think he should get a shot in first grade. Give him a go Sheens.

Blakeeeeee, Moltz could play left centre. He played there for Wests Tigers (I think it was the last game in 2008 against goldcoast) and he went very well. Lawrence back to the wing (I don't care what anyone says, he will score alot more tries on the wing) and Pritchard (pretty solid and fast) on the other wing. Keep Ayshford in the centres because he has some size and is faster than some people say he is. Lote Tuqiri should be fullback. He isn't afraid to run the ball back hard. You know it makes sense.

just read southerntiger as a clicked send about moltz in centres. u beat me to it but was thing it yesterday

I like the centres the way they are, but Moltz in the centres wouldn't be too bad an idea… But only if there are injuries.

This week we have to give Moltzen a chance at halfback, we won 7 straight with him there last year, why was he moved at all?

What did he do wrong by winning 7 games on the trot to not make him the best option at #7 for us long term?

It's like Makybe Diva being trained up for the Newmarket down the straight 6 at Flemington after winning 3 Melbourne Cups, it just wouldn't make any sense.

Unfortunately, we didnt win 7 straight with Moltz at 7, it was 4.5 games on my reckoning.

Oh ….for the last time....Lawrence himself has said he doesn't have the motor to play Fullback anymore.....

Ryan will be back...Lortay' not ready apparently....

Why are we stuffing with positions ...when in three rounds it's likely to change again...

Lui's injury may not be the godsend some hope,,,

For mine...1 Motlzen...7 Lazarus....It causes the least disruption......in crucial positions...

Moltzen is a class player....I hope he gets the chance to prove the doubters wrong in 7 or 1.....

Gallant is playing for the Mackay Cutters. Obviously he is highly regarded by the other NRL clubs. Just like Mathew Head who is now playing for Dapto Dogs.

At least John Morris isn't still at the club, cause I can guarantee he would have been named at 7 this week. Perhaps Fitz can be the new J-Mo LOL.

Geo I read where you wrote that. I find this very surprising. Lawrence would be at least as fast as Tuqiri for mine.\

I agree that there is not a need for big changes. But I have always wanted to see Chris at fullback. Its more of a fantasy than anything else.

Lote Tuqiri could move to fullback for Wests Tigers after they lost halfback Robert Lui to injury for up to six weeks on Monday.

Lui will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks with the ankle injury he picked up during Sunday's 44-32 NRL loss to the Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Football Stadium.

His most likely replacement in the No.7 jersey is current fullback Tim Moltzen.

Coach Tim Sheens has flagged Tuqiri playing at fullback sometime in his return season, but the dual international has started his first two games back in the NRL on the left wing, collecting a try in each.

The Tigers' coach had wanted to allow the 30-year-old, who spent seven years playing rugby union, to find his feet back in the 13-man game in the wing position where he previously played for the Brisbane Broncos.

Sheens faces a major selection decision before naming his side on Tuesday to play Parramatta this weekend.

His other main option for the halves is Arana Taumata, who has had little football because of an ankle injury and hasn't played a NRL match since 2008.

Former Cronulla back Mitch Brown could also be an option to play fullback.

Scans have revealed Lui has a ligament injury in his right ankle.

Geo I wanted Moltz at fullback against the Roosters because I knew he would be tested there and wanted him to have one last shot at fullback to prove himself in that position. It didn't work and it wont work. He has had plenty of chances there. He is way too soft with the kick returns. It's pretty obvious to alot of people that Moltzen is very talented but fullback isn't his position.

How do you know Lote isn't ready for fullback? Sheens hasn't even named the lineup for Round 3 yet and he may have trained a bit at fullback already. He looks very good under the high ball and you know he will run the ball back like there is no tommorow. You know it makes sense

I hope Brown doesn't play fullback. He doesn't look good under the high ball.

EASY.

Blake Lazarus to 7…............and he'll be our half for a long, long time.

He's everything we need. Class. Just do it Tim.

Side note: Just for a laugh, imagine Fitzy to 6 / Benji to 7.....this forum would melt

Sad to see this young bloke out so early. When he takes on the line he can put in a great step.I thought he may have done this more against the Roosters.Interesting to see who is named Halfback??.
