Luke Brooks #167

Happy to see him gone, yet still dead last
Is that a question or a statement?
The club had no plan, (again), for his departure, (and were deluded about his ability), and that’s why we are still at the bottom, not just one player’s fault but he certainly contributed to the mediocre results. He plays no better or worse now.
I think that covers both?

People will boo. It’s in their nature. It’s how life has treated them and they must pass on their transgressions to other humans to justify their existence. The nature of the beast. Even in black, white and gold.
Or just a light hearted show of unity against a common enemy.

A lot of people finding out it’s an all of roster issue now that he’s gone.

Coaching and Culture more so for mine....

Whilst I agree, the majority of our top 30 aren't NRL standard (Yet for some)
I think they're certainly capable of more than we're getting from them....

Maybe not much more, Burt some more....

How you can blame coaching when we’ve cycled through so many (good ones too) is beyond me.

Culture stems from poor recruitment.

Sure it’s a weak roster, but as we all know, the real problem is how we finished up having the weak roster. We’ve got hard evidence that contracting a few good players while losing a few good ones each season doesn’t improve our performances.

If Aloiai score I'm sure he'll pull out the 'lawnmower' post try celebration... Wouldn't be surprised if he gives the hill a gob full too... Brooks on the other hand will just go about his business and have the last laugh
While he will never be the most
talented half, /5-8th running around he's one of the toughest... Had backrowers twice his size running at him for a decade and never shirked his work and I admire that
Maybe Brooks can do “the BBQ” if he scores a try

The problem with our roster isn’t the “name” players.

We need to be upgrading the guys 10-30 who are costing us wins.

He’s addressed the spine, which is awesome. I have no doubt Richo moved on a couple of underperforming name players on $$$ so he could attempt to balance the roster in those lower down roles over the next 2-3 years.

There’s clearly more method to it all than we’ve seen in a decade.

Brooks bingo card v Manly

• grubbers into legs
• kicks it dead
• < 10m touch finder
• 70m try
• 10 show and go’s
• smashes a forward
• end over end bomb down Bula’s throat
• awkward interview

Reckon I’m a moral.
The only thing different would be the W at the end of the game.
