Sorry, I'm not convinced...I think they went in with a low offer with the expectation it may increase a little bit and they still keep Brooks. The problem with this strategy is that he hasn't been very happy for 10 years and he might be willing to play for the same money at another club with a fresh start.

I just don't think there are players out there that can replace him, regardless how much money we have. There's no players on the market.

This is the delusion that those of us not drinking the Brooks Kool- aid have to deal with.

I'm looking forward to him heading to North Queensland where after 6 games proving that he really is crap Toddy boy will have no hesitation in sending him to play in the Q Cup.
Brooks had the chance to continue being a fraud with us, retiring a one club man and being handed a job with the club after he retires. Instead he's chosen to join Sharon as a pariah in obscurity.
He's being poorly advised.

🤣 c’mon mate? Sheens stands alone on support for Brooks and we know what the board think of Sheens after the Fulton fiasco.
Sheens obviously wasn’t aware that Benji, no doubt with board approval, approached Junior and possibly other halfbacks to replace Brooks.
Brooks is a constant reminder to Pascoe that he stuffed up moving on Tedesco, Woods and Moses.
Particularly after Moses rubbed his face in it.
The longer the year goes by the closer he is to leaving.
Brooks wants to play finals and there’s no chance he will do that with Pascoe steering the ship.

I think he'd be a good signing for Canberra, next to Fogarty. I don't know what Brooks is thinking, but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes.

yes Brooks has been very good over the last 6 games, but watch the last 30seconds of the Canberra game and how poor his decision making was…a good half back would’ve positioned us to kick a field goal, not play hot potato, .unfortunately Brooks does not have the footy brains to win us a premiership….he is a good foil to a game managing halfback…
