these things are never good, but in terms of timing, it worked out ok, the most important stuff for year he was able to play and altho disapointing missing a few school games is nothing compared to missing his chance to play Aus schoolboys, NSW U/18, Sg Ball final ….if you are going to be injured, now is prob a good time for it to happen

Poor bugger, all the best in his recovery, if the above is true about a break to the leg, at least it isn't an ACL. I suffered both in my juniors and after the ACL I could only play one more year. It's an 18 month injury that's for sure. More mental than anything, you literally think before stepping or going into a tackle "is it going to go again now". So when I broke my femur it didn't really faze me, the ACL scared the hell out me for my final year of footy because they have a tendency to go again within years.
