So it’s Brooks fault Tamou dogged most of the year? Now it all makes sense.

It’s Tamous fault brooks has one of the worst kicking games in the nrl. All on tamou.

The length of time and amount of space that a kicker has will impact the quality of his kicks. So in an indirect way, you are right. Despite the sarcasm.

I watched most of the tigers games this year live before lockdown .I can assure you that the more time brooks had to kick on most occasions the worse that kick was. But hey let’s blame tamou that played 20 minutes a game and missed 1/3 of the season .

Well it shows he’s not much of a leader with those numbers. Throw in guys like Amone, Garner and and Leilua, that isn’t much of a platform

Michelle Bishop's sources say he could be moving there sooner rather than later. Tbf Bishop does have a good record of getting Tigers information early. She seems to have good relationships with the club.

Not saying she’s wrong, but it’s starting to be a running theme that whenever a source for a rumour is given, we’re told their info is usually pretty good. And none of those rumours amounted to anything.

Bishop, Read, Nicolussi and Chammas seem to get pretty good Tigers info.

I guess we wait and see. I’d be pretty dumbfounded if we release him given how skinny we are. Unless they have a replacement lined up, but who would it be?

Who knows, there’s not a lot out there at the moment. Agree we’re very light in the halves

Pretty much would guarantee Madden starts in the halves. I know a few people have mentioned Peachy, but he’d be better served elsewhere.

Personally I'd be happy with Madden in the halves.

At least with a rookie like Madden, they *might* come good. Maybe or maybe not, but at least it's a real maybe.

I have to choose my words carefully, otherwise I get accused of hating Hastings. I just don’t think that halves combo would work. It pretty much puts everything on Hastings shoulders. And he himself is looking to re-establish himself as an NRL half.

Slowest halves pairing in the history of the NSWRL /ARL/NRL/QRL/BRL/ESL

"Brooks struggles because he doesn't have good enough players around him" is such a rubbish excuse, I can't believe it still gets peddled out

Sure, if he had an elite team player around him he would do better, you could say the same for literally ANY player. I don't get how that's an argument?

There's so many times we make a Break and have a chance and the ball hits Brooks and he takes the wrong option and fail to score. Or the game is in a balance and he stuffs it up. He doesn't have the killer instinct and vision to finish those things off and that's his biggest issue - if he played next to a halfback who does he'd be good

Doueihi had more tries, linebreak assists and try assists in less games than Brooks - what if HE had better players around him? Notably a gun halfback? He was the one trying to lead the team around, not the bloke with over 150 games... Tamou said the same thing. Shows what kind of player Brooks is

We scored a ton of tries off his cross field bombs. I’d argue it was a bit one dimensional. I’m not blaming Tamou I’m blaming our forwards dating back to Sharon.

Sharon was arguably the 2nd best prop when he was graded at the WT's I saw bar Glenn Lazarus and many at the time agreed ...whichever numbnut at the time taught him to back into the defence and / or convinced him that Fantasy points make you a good footballer as well should have been shot and quartered ...

A good club would have given him some better help when he was at the peak of his powers.

Or not let Andrew Fifita go .....two good props can hunt as a team

Brooks may not be the super star u all want be if he goes , who fills his spot , a lot on here want madden , well he wouldn’t make our local a-grade team . So be warned what many on here want because it may come back and bit u on the arse .

Yeah ...but if you could keep enough teams attracted with burley until Douehi made it back or someone else became available ....or even if we saw if Hastings was going to be the so called saviour .....

Almost all of us expect next season to be write off. Some even saying the spoon.

But people crying over the possibility of loosing Luke Brooks. What's it going to matter.

It may actually help the team build a new identity.

Can't have it both ways lads.

I’m backing him but if we let him go fine, but we need something back. Nobody of note will take our cash.

If we are going to make a serious attempt at Top 8 ...you need him until at least trade time ....

You think we are making a run for the top 8?

No ...but if we are last after 7-8 Rds ...a lot of nooses are going to tighten around a lot of high up WT's personnel ....

Despite everything ...Brooks is the best half we have until Douehi gets back (and up and running back from his 2nd ACL surgery )

If you get rid of Brooks now and can't replace him with someone better and we get even worse than last year Fans will burn down all 8 of our home grounds

"All but a done deal"

My point is that we have nothing to lose.

Its Luke friggen Brooks not Johnathan Thurston.

I don't give up 6 months before the season starts.

I dont consider moving Brooks giving up.

It would be a revelation for this club and a fresh new start.

No more tanking and players not liking the way they are coached.
