Luke Brooks - Mega Thread

Yes I don't understand playing one player off against the other. Doueihi is a good player but he needs to get himself fit and on the field It will be a year from the date he returns until we see him at his best. I always believed Doueihi's best position is as a ball-playing lock.

Cooper Cronk started as a utility off the interchange at hooker, lock and 5/8 for the Storm. Doueihi hasn't confirmed himself in one position. Since the juniors I always believed lock was his best position.

His first grade career has been at fullback, centre and five eight...

I believe he briefly played second row for Lebanon in a world cup game.

To say lock is his best position is out of this world mate, he's never played it... however, as silly as the statement is.. if there's one man that CAN do it, it's Adam Doueihi.

You need to watch the highlights of players such as Paul Langmack or Rocky Laurie who were locks but could play at 5/8 when required.

AD himself has said he wants to be a 6.
But I'm sure he's willing to do what is best for the team.

He's a very important piece of the puzzle.

That or a coach that shares the same agent, Had been promised he could get a replacement Half to replace the one that was going to France and help give them a shake at the title - Which would help them keep Ponga, Help him keep his job / career and justify all the spending on high end players to still have very limited success...

I didn't hear that... Last I heard (Couple weeks back) He definitely sees himself in the halves and prefers 6...

Either way - If he's not our best option at 6, He won't be there...
Simple really.

They're a stronger team on Paper...
Best we can ask for is for them to compete - I'll be more than happy with that.

It is. We have 3 guys that want the 2 halves spots. Salary comes into he picture as well. They could also play in other positions.

The question to me is can they all continue to play at a high level ? I reckon we will fit all of them if they are performing and we are winning games.

Can they do that ?

It's been clarified - More than once by people actually involved.
Brooks never formally requested a release...
His management floated the idea to the club - and was rejected... Twice!!
