Luke Brooks - Mega Thread

So were the Knights.
Except that was a real option.

Funny thing will be - that he does / will have options....
Doueihi will declare at every opportunity that he's the Tigers 5/8 until the end of time.....
And no one will be bothered either way.
1 - because they don't want him to play there
2 - because when he's there, they won't have to worry about tackling anyone else.

His at the back end of his career......

Brooks declared he was the Tigers 7 for how many years?

Whilst i prefer Brooks to Doueihi i think there is not much between all 3 of Brooks, Doueihi and Hastings. They are all serviceable but none genuinely good.
I'm not typically a fan of 'ball playing locks' but i wouldn't mind seeing Hastings play first receiver in the middle and Brooks and Doueihi left and right second receivers with our forwards primarily running 2 or 3 wide of the ruck. Whilst it would require a high energy game from our forwards with lots of bodies in motion (and good use of our interchange bench), I think it would help us actually get down field as they should not be getting as physically dominated as playing through the middle.
Currently it doesnt matter who is in the halves as with the current attacking structure our forwards arent strong enough to get past half way.

Like Doueihi does....
He's never spoken like that.
Even now, He says he'll play where he's needed.
IT must be Sh'T playing for the Tiger's some days and after you loose your coach and mate and believing in his ideas it must deflate him and the team We need a new coach ASAP to Start bonding with the players or the club as a whole is Fu(Ked if we had to get rid of Madge why not announce it round 23/24 if we did not have something lined up

Its just a bunch of amateurs running the club

I like the idea if we had the forwards to handle it but our forwards get smashed every week with Joe O at lock.

There is no way Hastings is going to do the defensive work that Joe O does at lock.

In stating that you could try it just to see if it worked.

I don't know if Hastings could handle the defensive workload or not. He should be able to given his size.
But, it is actually a strategy for weaker/smaller packs as the opposition should be getting less numbers in the tackle.
Won't help us standup to them without the ball but could be a way to actually make some metres and give our halves a chance to do something up the other end.

Reckon Brooks has one foot out the door, along with his heart, but his significant bag of 2023 cash has him stuck !
He effectively said this himself
Theres probably $500k difference between his market value and what were paying him,and he needs to walk away from a chunk of that to restart his career.Wt needs to kick in a bit too
He'd be a lot happier at Dolphins behind Storm forward pack, and guided by uncle Wayne
It wld work for us too

maybe Adam might like to play 6 with uncle Wayne, they need a "marquee signing"

They tried it last week. At the end of the game Hastings played lock with Brooks at half and Doueihi at 6.
