No, what they find hysterical is the club persisting with a 9 year failure while playing a better half out of position. You, batboy and paws really need to get out of your little bubble.

So you’d take that halves pairing over the club actually going out and signing a marquee half? Now you’re the one accepting mediocrity. I actually want to win and I want the club to invest in a player who will help us win. You clearly don’t.

The funny part is that no one is claiming that AD is some saviour. But it’s pretty damn clear for anyone with a functioning brain and eyes that he’s a better half than brooks and the team has looked better with AD at 5/8. By all reports, Brooks own teammates were bewildered that he was named WT player of the year over AD last year. His own teammates!

Show me one post where I said that. You won’t because I never said that or even implied that. The argument was AD vs Brooks in a halves pairing with Hastings.
If we could get someone like Munster here, I’d do it in a heartbeat (which I have previously stated btw) but once again, that wasn’t the argument so stop trying to shift the goal posts to avoid embarrassing yourself.

Brooks has been half for 9 years his salary $900 k 2022 and $1.1 mill 2023
He presides as key playmaker over a team with the worst attack in the nrl
He can run hard and tackle hard but lacks footy IQ his eyes up footy and kicking game is very poor and unless major changes are made nothing is going to get better .
Fact 1 he is by far the highest paid player in the club
Fact 2 the club has been incredibly loyal, to Brooks for years

And as many other posters have said....there being no one better is the only thing that has kept Brooks'y here and we haven't been able to grab anyone better unfortunately.
Our Head Coach was a pretty good 1/2 in his time, so how come he hasn't been able to instill at least a small fraction of what it takes to be a good half back.
Ok guys we have read enough of the bad conversations and who is better or who is worse.....
I have decided to intervene before we all become enemies and not forum friends...
Firstly i would like to make a suggestion that could be suitable although Im by no means an NRL coach,however,if I was coaching our team and I needed change this is what I would TRY now that we are at rock bottom...
I would try Laurie at 6 alongside Hastings as he did play a bit of 5/8 at the Riff (not sure).
I would put AD at the 1 because I personally think he could roam as does Tedesco(not comparing AD to Teddy just an attempt at something different because AD did play fullback before).
I would play Brooks at centre because he can pass and tackle as well as has speed..
This way we keep our top players on the field and blood some young guys as well..
I honestly think this may work as we have stuff all to lose...
So our spine would be...
1..AD
6..Laurie
7..Hastings
9..NU Brown...
Just a thought ......

Yeah but I honestly think by 2030 or so if all the starts align we can build into a genuine top 8 contender.
