How many times do we hear this? Brooks is obviously trying to drum up his price as much as he can. It's up to the club to decide whether he's worth it or not. If he does go I'd wager we'd have a hefty sum available to make a tilt at a quality half.

But who would come at retail price CB ???

You got the coach and club legend blueing , apart from Tedesco and Moses no outside backs of note , questionable backrowers , three home grounds , one part of the JV on its knees , a team that struggles with attracting TPA's and ten other clubs that have none of these issues and that challenge or make the Top 8 on a regular basis

If you have the right $$$, you'll go anywhere. Just ask Watmough, Sandow, Blair, McQueen.

Watmough was past it , Sandow never had it , Blair only has it when with other good players / team and the verdict is still out on McQueen

Cronk is on another planet compared to the players listed

There was some talk a few weeks ago that the Tigers along with the Coast and a couple of other clubs were very interested in signing Adam Reynolds. Maybe they are not convinced Brooks will hang around come 2017 or it is just a case of covering your bets

Can't see a good reason for bagging the kid .Wait for his decision. Between now and then he might turn out to be a champion for the team.
There are many reasons why a player makes these choices
None of which they are obliged to share with the general public

Well they could of done that with Martin paid him what he was worth!

My point stands, players will leave clubs travelling well to chase dollars with perennial strugglers.

I think so. I think the cash matters more than a winning culture or whatever buzzword is fashionable.

Maybe at the back end of your career

In your prime you want to win premierships , play rep footy and the big bucks will come from that

As we see , clubs in the bottom 4 struggle to get players playing SOO

In saying that Happy look at our mob, their is a real chance they might have three in the blues team this year, not a bad representation for a battling club!!!! Although I take your point, most players that are in their prime or close to it will usually take a offer from a strong club over a bigger offer from a weak club

I agree they're not obliged to share with the general public, so long as they share them with those who do recruitment.

If it just comes down to $$, well, good luck to them. If it comes down to feeling more confident about their future and their rep prospects, for instance, by leaving rather than staying , then that's a shareholder (member/fan) issue as to why they feel that way.

If Brooks leaves and its a big if then I think we would keep Moses and Cherrington with Robbie heading to SL. This would give us a big war chest but we should be looking at an experience half to help the young blokes out. Doesen't need to be a star just experienced

Brooks could well do with some sound advice along the lines of "you don't want to follow DCE's antics mate."

That was a disaster. Talk about coming out with his reputation in tatters.

But when all is said and done, I don't think there would be too many looking for him. He's not done anything. Even us as the clubs supporters are frustrated with his lack of impact to date. Other clubs surely wouldn't pay bucket loads for what he's shown so far.

I reckon Woods will be it

Any truth in the rumour that Farah's knee is actually long term ??

What are the chances the blokes players challenging for the hooker position both now have knee issues

Got a text before that it was 6 months , not 6 weeks but if Farah has tweeted it then it must be true

Not a lot of upside to them staying unfortunately.

Don't see why they should feel responsible for the clubs woes.

For a start its meant they've been brought on prematurely.

Sure they've been well compensated but it would have set their confidence back.

Two years ago all they knew was winning.

i don't think they owe us anything.

They have a right to a successful career and the premierships and cash that go with it.

Meanwhile, they'll respectfully wait another six months to see if the last minute miracle transformation of the club's fortunes occurs.

There's one real positive potentially looming with the balmain buyout. If we get a great private investor in who is passionate about the club, it could really set a new tone around the place and help retain our key guys.

And attract quality players to our club. Absolutely.

When Moses, Brooks or Teddy make comments about not necessarily being able to play out their careers together, they refer to the salary cap and known constraints.

This can be true, though it is mostly assuming you reach a level of performance elite enough that the club struggles to afford all of your salaries combined.

Brooks and Moses I would say are not there yet, we should be able to afford them both.

my brother who coached him says he is leaving. sorry guys havent posted for a while. he mentioned two clubs . have to wait and see

Melbourne and Canterbury are the 2 clubs I have heard, would feel pretty dirty if he left, after paying him huge overs the last few years, but it may be just paper talk or his manager trying to squeeze more dollars out of the club.
