People go on and on about Tedesco reneging because he didn't want to leave his mates, yet if his mates were so important, why sign with Canberra in the first place? There were definitely other factors involved.

You seriously didn't think it through then obviously…....he had a June deadline and had that to fall back on for the Tigers to counteract a better offer and that is what he did.......fans were in disarray and the Club obviously came back with a better offer for him to stay .

Does everything need to be explained to you , that's why they have Managers and are paid to get them the best offer possible .

No need to be condescending

As i said in another thread, it seemed pretty coincidental that he reneged after Proctor, Ennis and Mansour all signed elsewhere and left him like a shag on the rock. I remember Matt Johns said he couldn't understand why he would have signed. I reckon he obviously realized the mistake he made and went back on it. I firmly believe the ''mateship'' is exaggerated cos its a very romantic way of looking at them and the club in general.

Would really suck if he left.

However, when Rankin went to fullback last night he was so confident getting into first and 2nd reciever. He looked a natural playmaker. I think he will get frustrated playing on the wing.

If Brooks left Moses at 7 and Rankin at 6 would work.

Excuse the pun but the "the little" I have seen of Littlejohn I have liked. Get the feeling he could get the job done also. In saying that we have been fed the hype surrounding our 6 and 7 since they were first out of nappies,be gutted to see them move and live up to the hype at another club

Not being condescending at all but i know your referring to me about people going on and on with the Tedesco thing.

Well you said in your post after mine….... " People go on and on about Tedesco reneging because he didn't want to leave his mates' referring to me , he never wanted to leave and like Brooks is doing is trying to get Clubs to out bid each other and so he can get the best possible price.

If you think there were other factors in his decision to staying at the Wests Tigers ? then fair enough and your entitled to feel that way.

You weren't the first person in this thread to mention the mates thing. I had the same conversation with Tony33 yesterday. It seems to be the general consensus on the forum but i don't agree with it.

Can't see him or Moses leaving. Quite certain the club will offer them enough to stay on and keep playing with their mates. That said, I take no issue with the boy trying to get the best deal he can.

The only thing i dont like about Littlejohn is his passing. His balls travel slower through the air then other halves. With the line speed of other teams we need t get that ball out fast and accurate, not floaty. They have no zip. Other than that he looks ok.

I say let him go. Over hearing about it.

Agree.
He is probably the 15th or 16th best halfback in the league and if he is attracting attention then good luck to him!
What do we care?
The only reason we even talk about him is not because we have seen occasional glimpses of skill but because we invested in his development and all our fans are crossing our fingers that it pays off (AKA "The Story of Wests Tigers" or "Why Wests Tigers Suck").

To date he has proven nothing.

Halfback is probably the most important position in the team and because of the fact he is so inconsistent there he is hardly an asset. If you consider his defence then he is closer to a liability.

Taylor is already talking about putting Farah at half. No coach who believes his halfback can dominate would ever say that.

So my feelings at this stage are meh and if in the first few weeks of the season he hasn't matured his game then his June exit would be a blessing.

And you didn't even touch on the money he's on. He, Moses and Siro are all ridiculously overpaid.

Those 3 are all massively overpaid for the very little that they have actually shown on the field thus far. But they aren't the only young blokes in the NRL who are getting ridiculous overs but producing bugger all form-wise, it is just the situation clubs find themselves in these days….pay massive overs to keep a young player with supposed potential at your club or watch them sign with vulture clubs like Rorters who pay them 100 grand per year(plus the paper-bag payments) and they fulfill their potential and become superstars.

Where in that article does Brooks admit he might leave as the headline states…?

Moses admits he was far from happy with his form last season and has vowed to repay coach Taylor’s faith in 2016.
>
“It definitely wasn’t me and I was different player last season, but JT backed me every week,” he said.
>
“I copped that much criticism, but I played every game.
>
“I wasn’t happy with the way I was playing.
>
“I probably shouldn’t have played that many games, but he (Taylor) was patient with me.

This also paints a different picture of the Halves being unhappy with the Coach...looks the opposite to me...from Moses's mouth...

Players always go well, and seem to be in " career best form" when contracts are up for renewal.
If Luke Brooks or Mitchell Moses, decide to go elsewhere, so be it.
Life goes on, so does the footy. May give someone else an opportunity, they desire and relish. 😛ray:
The sun will still come up, and Leichhardt Oval & Campbelltown won't be sucked into an almighty chasm. :unamused:

For the people who are bagging Brooks, cast your mind back to some of the sevens we have tried in the past, barring Prince and to a lesser extent Benji. Brooks at 18 was better than most of the other ones

are our 20's halves any good?

Honestly think Brooks and Moses will both stay but who knows, lets just hope this doesn't drag into the footy season

Brooks is starting to take control of games. I reckon he'll have a big year for us this year. We need to lock him up quick smart.

Good idea…but sounds like he wants out....

It says they are going to wait until June so yep,it will drag on. Every week until June on here it is gonna either be a catchcry of 'let the hacks go' or ' give 'em $1 mill each per season and keep them Tigers for life' depending on whether we win or lose that particular week. Can't wait.

If playing with their mates is the only thing keeping these guys at the club, idk why anyone would want them. There's clearly no pride in the jumper if they're going to throw their toys out of the cot if one of their mates signs elsewhere. This is a professional (use that term loosely) sports organization, not a boys club

money is not a good reason to stay
coach is not a good reason to stay
teammates is not a good reason to stay
then what is the good reason to stay? pride in the jumper.. our club really doesn't have anything that players can be proud of it.

we have everything to lose if these 2 don't decide to be with his next year. it will pretty much be like going 5 years back. we've invested in these 2 and let's go on with it.
