He's trying to research by asking questions about a tigers player on a tigers forum. Off the high horse and answer him…
Khristian he is the halfback in the NYC, as far as comparing him to a first grader that's too hard, but he possesses a great skill set and Andrew johns has said brooks is better than he was at the same age.. Time will tell if he lives up to it, fingers crossed

I have only seen him play in the NYC this year so I don't have the same exposure to his game that others who have written about him have but he looks to be a good young half back who can kick well and attack well but from what I've seen it would be unfair to push him into first grade just yet. I am looking forward to watching Brooks and Sironen playing in the halves on Monday night though should be an eye opener.

Mate, he has talent,

But is not big at all and can be dominated by bigger players in 20s in defense just due to his size, would not like to see him against men for some time,

He's bigger than Miller.

People are calling this kid some sort of saviour, Ive seen people talking Origin even ffs.
You need to remember its a team sport, and players can only do so much with the team mates they have around them.
Benji's suffered for years since Prince left due to poor recruiting.
Dont expect too much without a decent team around him…we might have that one day but
Im not holding my breath

Brooks is a good player but needs more time to fine tune his game, no need to rush the kid & play him against a top team with an excellent half. Let the kid come along gradually, & he will get there.

there are plenty of 15 year old halfbacks running a much across australia being compared to andrew johns every day. means sweet fa.

the guy has played 4 games in 20's.

this time last year miller was our saviour. now its brooks. when brooks has a crack it will be the guy under him. its a never ending cycle.

btw, to compare him to johns means he must have immaculate defence and be able to bring down props in big tackles. i have big doubts brooks is even close to this.

You would at least hope that Brooks isn't given a run until Keefy,Gavet and Groat are back on deck

Putting him behind our spare parts forward pack would be detrimental to his career at this stage

No halfback can play behind a forward pack that is being smashed week after week

I watch a lot of junior footy (NYC,Schoolboys, SG Ball plus a lot of rugby) and IMO Luke Brooks is the best young half back Ive seen.
At the carnival at Port macq, experienced talent scouts were all in raptures with him.

He is a star, an out and out star.

Questions on his defence are unfounded he is an excellent defender and his size is of no concern, he has the big bum and thighs and has a similar shape to Andrew Johns and Matt Orford.

I dont think we should rush him, assuming we cant make the semies in the last few rounds Id play him off the bench last few games and maybe start him in round 25 and 26 a bit of taste, another full off season and I think next year be ready to play and do a job, the year after he will be strong.

Does anyone know how old Mitchell Pearce was when he cracked first grade at the Rooters?

18.
Difference between Pearce and Brooks is that Brooks has missed a fair bit of footy through injury

The club obviously holds a high opinion of Luke and from what I hear are quite happy with his progress. Though like all young players, there are things that he needs to get better at. A lot of it will come with experience as he develops over time. First grade this year is a long shot - though not impossible. Having players like Benji and Robbie and Braith in his ear too is only going help him in the long run.

I hope you are right because this is what I want to see.

If that is the Tigers plans I hope to see Brooks playing NSW Cup rather than NYC

All he will learn in NYC is that it is far different from NRL when he gets there

Have seen him play, looks the goods. Like another poster said hold him back for a while and give him a taste of the big time in the last few rounds, with the view of him being the starting no7 in 2014.
Farah rates him highly so Iam sure it will not be long before he will be given a chance in the top grade
