Samuela was great with Galvin last year, looked good when Latu played on his edge last week and has been far less impactful with Luai.

Galvin was playing #6 this year and Samuela wasn't impactful either.

The issue was Luai at #7... Now he's back to #6, I expect we see Samuelas game improve.

Luai has been worth every cent we paid him. He is the ultimate professional. The way he takes his training and recovery so seriously sets a good example for our younger players. His personality makes people want to follow him.

Played 1 season, I think before going to Parra u20s.

Yeah he is not as good as people make out but he has helped get Turuva and May here. Add to that his defence and effort plus other positives.

Don't mind him here but we overpaid him 300k too much a year.

$300k bonus for getting whooped most weeks is probably about right. We probably need to do the same to get someone l like Tino. Maybe not if we’d won a few more games.

This irritates me SO much! What right does LG have to think he's better than Luai? I understand a big ego is required to play NRL (I teach an 11yr old who is state rep in league, union, and afl, and that kid's self-belief is huge, and he will end up a professional sportsman, no doubt) but you still have to earn the right to be upset someone is better than you. LG never has. Latu is better than him, Luai is streets better than him, heck, even Doueihi is playing better than him since he left. Ugh

From my view point I think it was Latu who he was worried about taking his position. Reguarded above him right through juniors and whispers still so at the tigers.
Halves get more $$ so wanted to stay in that position to massage his ego

We have roster spots and plenty of cash for next season that we haven’t filled.

What makes people think a quality play maker would pick us over a bunch of other clubs who have cash if not more than us?
