So, you have looked at the ladder, considered each team and halfback and you think Brooks is better only than Reynolds Cleary and Hunt??

This is precisely the kind of defense a Brooks supporter puts forward.

My fault, I really only looked at teams higher than us on the ladder. You're clearly not weighing the relative strength of teams properly.

Cronk has looked only ok in a star studded side. Thurston has had an off year in a forward pack with Jason Taumalolo. Johnson has been good when he's been on field, but Luke and RTS have really carried their side. DCE is just a much better halfback full stop, but I didn't consider him because despite his greatness his side is languishing at the bottom. And they have a better team than us.

How good do you think Brooks would be going behind forwards like Marty Taupau (remember 2014), Jake Turbo, JT13?

I'm not saying he's the answer but he's playing better than at least half the halfbacks in the league in a side with some average forwards. I really don't know who you could realistically replace him with and expect better results from without paying top dollar.

Me too, but I hear all the Brooks has the most forced line drop outs this year, if you are going to run with that then the try assists stat will Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon it everytime, I don't really rate Taylor, but you can't have one with out the other.
I am not saying you said this, but I have seen it a stack of times pumping up Brooks tyres, I like Brooks, but I still maintain we waited far to long, so now we have to keep him as he is showing good signs and we have invested to heavily to not hang on to him

Brooks is a slow learner but he’s getting their …..slowly !

I thought he played very well against Souff's and the Dragons as well..and while off against the Dogs especially with his short kicking never stop trying but yeah whatever..

Agreed. How many times do you win (especially against top eight teams) and your halfback doesn’t play well? kind of goes with territory.

How many times can you beat top 8 sides without a good half, unless his Cameron Smith.
