TMM stats didn't measure up in 2018\. His style could suit Brooks though. He could became a hand brake for Brooks if he doesn't make line brakes/ try assists/ repeat sets and defend well.
Brooks running metres is equal or better than TMM as well.
TMM could come cheap though.
Brooks plays pretty direct. He makes a lot of line breaks in doing so.
In will be interesting to see how players like Momirovski and Gamble develop under Madge/ Hodgson
He helped get a Thurston-less NQ to a GF though in 2017\. I think he could compliment Brooks. As you say Brooks is very direct whereas TMM is more your Benj/Milford/Johnston stepping, scheming type. Good foil for each other. TMM would be better than S Johnston because I feel it would better suit Brooks "owning" the team.
Someone above said TMM is overrated, I disagree. As things stand he will probably be third in line at NQ this year. I would rate his ability at least equal to Grub, his talent greater than Grub, his age is MUCH better than Grub and he would cost about half of what Grub costs.
**Its all wishes and dreams but thats what I would do**
Wishes and dreams - when you think of the quality players that have slipped through our fingers - it makes me weep.
I dream of what might have been: Fafita and Woods in the front row; a mature Simon Dwyer in the backrow and Marty Tapau at lock; TMM at 5/8; Teddy out the back and JAC on the wing. That's the makings of a top 4 side.
I could make an ace side for any club who has lost players, **it's both meaningless and pointless** when you consider the individual reasons for each player leaving.
Where's the halfback in that dream side anyway?
