Cleary had no problem getting the best from Brooks. We have a coaching issue and if Pascoe has not been on the phone advising Maguire that his tenure is finished he is letting down all WTs' supporters.

So the player is unable to perform consistently should not matter who the coach, coaches, referees, lineman etc etc are.

Did you watch today as Brailey rolled through our centre and the Sharks' dictated the speed of the game? Kenny and Sterling could have done nothing today.

And you can't blame the halves for a defeat in detail through the forwards!

He was easily our most dangerous player. Mbye also had his moments. Time to take the bias out of the equation.

Not saying we dont have issues, but the buck stops with the players on the field who are not willing to put in 80 min performances. And yes it is hard to stop momentum in the current game, but that is up to the players willing to come of their line as a unit and turn things around. We made so many unforced errors that we handed them field position and momentum. Brooks is past his use by date and may benefit with a change of scenery but as a highly paid player he fails to deliver 8 out of 10 times.

Mbye can only throw a cut out pass .
Doueihi is playing his first season at 6 .
But Brooks has played 160 games at half and still looks to either Mbye or Doueihi to create something on the last tackle ..
he’s cooked ..
Hopefully he gets moved on .. better for all concerned.

If we do let Brooks go, wouldn’t mind seeing us get Pearce for a year or 2.

Need someone with experience who will yell at our team when they’re not performing.

The club needs to offload dud players like Brooks before any decisions on coaching.

Yep.
In terms of liability value Brooks is a way bigger problem than Madge.
Or anyone else IMO.

Well and truly overpaid and his inconsistency mirrors the teams. We can’t afford to keep carrying these types of players. We need a halfback to take the game by the scruff of the neck and be a leader. Brooks just doesn’t have that ability.

I just wish the club wasn’t so inept with recruitment. Paid massive overs so if we do offload him we’ll be chipping in a decent amount. Plus the club should have made a decision to let him go earlier this year to give us an opportunity to go to market and secure a decent half. Most of them have signed at other clubs now. We’re rudderless and indecisive.

He sucked. I totally blame him.
I blame others too. Many sucked.

But he might as well have not been out there.

He was the captain...he should have mustered his men to have a dig...but once again timidness was the winner....

Yes, we lost this game because of our half back. He let in the tries through the middle and dropped all the balls.

Your analysis is spot on

Chee Kam looked more dangerous than Brooks
