Teams had him figured out all year and he didn't adjust, his short kicking was awful could barely find a repeat set and his long kicking/game management sucked, he couldn't find the grass in the corner of the field if his life depended on it.
This is what I also see as his biggest issue when under pressure. Even if the forwards are not going forward, even if the pass isn't ideal, even if you are not at full fitness... you MUST be able to constantly make the right decisions the majority of the time if you are a quality rugby league #7.
But Luke has a history of often taking the wrong option, making a predetermined play instead of the right play for that moment, especially when the pressure is on - which is when he's needed most!
Im going to have my last say on Luke as I have many times been a critic but also have given credit to him for his improvements....
Luke has been a victim of changed coaches in quick sequence,he had an icon of the club beside him,he had dummy half changes he also had mediocre forwards at times...all of these things mount up especially when your a young and up and comer,I know he has matured now and having been coached by Madge these last couple of years he has a platform to excel this year,Benji not beside him and overcalling him should really make a difference to his mental stratergy of how he wants the game controlled and played...
I said earlier in this thread that I expect a big improved game by Luke this year he has many plusess in his favour....and I hope we all see the true Luke Brooks this year because we all know what he can produce given the opportunities....
