All the AD love does my head in , to the point it’s clear how biased people are being , where they won’t even acknowledge how woeful he is defensively . He’s really , really , bad! And I think mainly he’s exposed a lot more because he’s standing next to Luci most of the game . If Blore can come into form , I’d like to see how well he goes next to AD. It doesn’t matter if he sets up 3 tries if he lets in 4 or 5.
Or barely anyone is talking about the lack of any strike down the edge we had all the strike last year . It gets to AD and the ball stops. It’s usually the right choice for him to keep it , as he’s big and strong , and dents the defensive line , but there are issues in attack and defence down that edge .
This isn’t to say AD sux though , as he’s been our best this year . That’s clear . But it’s to say , he what if we put someone there to get the ball to the edges early, and get AD running wider . It probably won’t work and we will go back to him at 6 , but it’s worth a shot . I get the idea.
Say what you will about brooksy , but when the ball gets spread to his edge , do you panic ? Do you think oh god , they’ll score here ? I do on the other side ! Every single time . That’s not ok . We fix that , and guys switching off for periods of the game , we should go better . I’d rather win 14-12 than lose 36-28 .
I can’t believe how it’s brooksy fault we didn’t win 42-36 ! That score line should never ever ever happen! No coach in the world would be happy about that . They’d go into the shed and throw stuff against the wall . Yet here we are taking about how our halfback is garbage because he could lay on the try to make it 36 all or 42-36. I’m not defending brooks , it’s clear he seems robotic . But in your quest to replace him, your totally refusing to see how bad AD is defensively , and how the ball stops for long periods of the game .
