Brooks is fine. Someone suggest an alternative and I'll listen. I'd take Brooks over Moses, too.

You all are way over top reactionary. yeah, yeah...no finals, can't manage a game, but he's a good player, and probably best defensive halfback behind Cleary. You all realise how many EXTRA tries we'd leak with just about any other half in the game?

Also, I think he plays with heart and is getting better. Is he up there with Cleary, Hughes, Keary, DCE? No, but even DCE looks bog average when team around him is not going well.

Again, if we have a better alternative lets go for it, and lets go for a number of up and coming halves, but we've got nothing better out there so you all need to get off Brooks' back.

The extent of criticism of Brooks with absolutely no alternative offered is ridiculous.

Mate anyone is an alternative , literally anyone. You cannot have your halfback have absolutely zero traits of what it takes to be a halfback. It’s like saying a forward should be kept in the team because he can catch a bomb. He gives us zero game management , he gives us zero field position. He has no voice. Enough is enough.

yeah, no worries. When you see 'anyone' running out there in our dumb team you'll be wishing we had Brooks back. Again, not the best halfback in the league but who is your alternative? Ash Taylor's available. You prefer him? Maybe we could nab Jr Flanagan? Harris-Tavita? Mitchell Pearce? None are better imo.

Remember how everyone couldn't wait to get rid of Benji so that our defense would improve and he was stifling our attack? Not saying I don't understand getting rid of Benji but neither our attack or defense has improved without him.

Mate other clubs move their halfback on even after they have had success. Ash Tsylor was the million dollar man , everyone wanted him. Two years later and no one will touch him for $250k. Croft the next big thing. 3 years later, 2 clubs later he is going to England. Flanagan is another one. Roosters cut him, bulldogs after half a dozen games realise he hasn’t got it. The list goes on. How many games will it take to realise he isn’t going to get us there? Why are we the only club who keeps persisting with a halfback who hasn’t achieved anything and give him a pay rise everytime.

Payback for staying with us when Moses,Tedesco &Woods pissed off!

If he happens to finish his career here, he more than likely will break Farah’s record for all time games played. The irony that the two players who hold the record for most games played for the club and most try’s scored, respectively would be the most hated players in the clubs history.

The fan base has lost all patience and needs to look for individuals to blame. It would be foolish to think it's not a major factor in players not wanting a bar of a club with a fan base looking for some miraculous signing to lead us out of years of disappointment. The club is taking the right path in trying to build from within cause if we havnt caught on by now that the "marquee's" are not interested, then the blinkers need to come off.

In the end result we have to get our spine right and the rest can develop off that. I think the gist of that statement was from Bellamy and I reckon its so true..The spine is still a work in progress and it seems nowhere near stability yet after 3 years with Maguire but I hope we are getting there.
Laurie, Doueihi, Hastings / Brooks, Liddle / Simpkin- for next season no more experiments, off season trials is for that.

Good morning Brooks bashers and apologists. Looking forward to another day of going round in circles.

It looks like there was a bit of action yesterday.

Madge has been here for 3 years, however how could he have stability in the spine when he had to try and find the right guys to be a stable spine...BROOKS-7....AD/Mbye-6..AD/Mby/LAURIE -1.....Liddle/Simpkin/Mbye/ET-9...
Plus he has had to find the core forwards to make up a solid NRL pack.....let alone a backline that could perform constantly at NRL level...
I understand the dislike for Madge, but gee if you look at what he has had to work on to make this team a strong performing team week in week out, then you have to give him credit for showing so much passion in trying the best for the club that has been very UNSTABLE for a long period of time in this last decade....

I could tell. He is pretty popular our Brooksy isn't he.

Brooksy is polarising here because he’s not at the origin level status of play compared to Cleary,Reynolds, Cherry Evans. Reality is he is in our top 5 players most weeks.

For a club that can’t recruit the topic to get rid of Brooks is rather amusing. He’s no world beater but he’s better than what we have or will sign.
Playing fantasy football is fine but unless you have a better option you are making change for the sake of change.

If you get rid of Brooks as sign two quality first graders and run with Hastings I’m fine with it. Wake up and smell the coffee we are signing no one of note.

I do and I don't.There are intense negative emotions towards key people in our organization because we suck year after year after year. It's freaken depressing with no end in sight. I get that.

I don't see anything exceptionally wrong with Madge though. He isn't the one missing tackles.

I'm fine with getting rid of Broosky if we improve. Atm I'd definitely keep him because he walks into our top team.

I have said this many times....he is a credentialed NRL coach,he constructs game plans and structures, trains the team through the week to those plans and yet how many times have we heard that the team failed because they went away from what we did at training....he cant go out there and play for them, hell they are professional footballers, they have to learn to play to instructions...no different to my boss giving me a set of instructions to do a particular job,say for eg sort out the stock so I can do an order, but I go and paint the coolroom floor instead...

What I meant by dislike for Madge by some,is the winning results arent coming quick enough for people and they are getting frustrated......we need to be patient and wait and see where we are at the end of Madges tenure....

Maybe you should tell him when he gets back rather then being mr tough guy when he’s banned.

Or Ash Taylor

It's really as simple as that. I can't understand why so many don't get this.
