But isn't he close to retirement anyway? Why waste $$$ on someone that is only going to be here for a year, two at the most…and yeah agree with tigertye, i always thought he was one of their most valuable players, perhaps doesn't get on with kearney?

Not sure why the Tigers would be signing him. He won't be in the starting 17.

Im not a huge fan, but i do believe his style and proffesionalism would see him excell at fullback for the Tigers. His ability to support players and finish off opportunities created for him would be an assett. He also has other attributes Sheens likes in a fullback like a nice long kicking game and an ability to use the ball like a 5/8\. He's a combination of Moltzen and McKinnon…............Brett Hodgson like in a way.

I have no problems with him signing for a year or 2.Some of the forum members need to get a grip and remember we have a weak link at fb next year and burt is a great clubman and really no different to mackinnon just has better hammies.

This has being doing the rounds for about two months, their is a real chance this one has legs. Where I think he is a very good player I just dont see we need him of course unless we have offloaded a player that has not been announced. You have to leave the door open for a young u20 player or a already contracted lower grade player to aim at . Grant, Reddy, Humble,Brown, we have the backs covered not to mention a few of the kids coming through from the u20s
Unless we have signed him as a kicking coach to assist benji then I don't see why he would be coming here.
