His biggest issue is size ...he can't hit blokes 1 on 1 and doesn't dint the line

His lines he was running have disappeared off the map as well

Another player whose strength has either disappeared or been taken away (coaching )

Plenty of small guys playing above their weight. It’s a character issue.

But the blokes you speak of mostly have that smaller ,solider base ...... lower centre of gravity

Body shape is one thing that makes RL special.
Many have overcome great physical deficiencies with the right attitude.

Watch Nathan Brown run the ball then watch Garner and consider one thing, which player wants it more?

Seemed the issue for our team the whole first half

True we did look asleep. Big Stef tried hard when he got out there. AD and Brooks always try. DL too. JTJ is having a go. Luci is trying but his fitness is an issue.

a shot from the heart

Give his jersey to someone who wants it

Well you seem pretty keen. How about you get out there and do better? I'm sure you're not a "muppet".

IMO, Garner has been solid this season.

I’m not making huge money pretending to be a pro athlete either

6 runs in 80 mins, sadly I could do better than that.

Well man, put your credentials out there for the talent scouts to see. I'm sure you'll be snapped up given you can make more than 6 runs (who knows what that means ....does it include the ones going backwards?? ...to the fridge at half-time??)

And, of course, someone like you so skilled in rugby league, doesn't need to mention how ferocious and effective a defender you'll be when the big boppers are running at you.

I expect an announcment this week from the club telling us that BAGNF05 has been signed. I can't wait.

Anyone got Madge’s digits? A package deal??

He's been doing fine.... defence has been good since round 1, he's not got the build to be doing many dirty hit ups that's not his strength. Best option we've got at the moment

Against the Eels he had his best game for a while. His defence was the best its been.
He needs the ball to make any dents in the line.
If AD can use him with Laurie/Jet outside that right side could be potent.

I think he’s been strong in defence! Every now and then he bends someone in defence, just needs to do it more. I also agree he’s not the type to do dirty hit ups out of trouble. But I think we can use him more in attacking. Use him like a kikau is close to the line! He can break a tackle. Hopefully this comes the more our combinations play together, I feel like we don’t use our edges as well either.

Comparing Garner and Kikau 🤣

I think your comments are a character issue. One we could do without.

If you read all my comments you’ll notice I’ve been complimentary to those players having a go. That’s what happens on a RL forum. You’re also free to not read my comments or block them. All the best.

Our edges are a mess mate and the glue that holds an edge together is a good defensive second rower. One that intimidates people.

Edit: Consider this, in the 2010 GF Jamie Soward was asked to make a total of 7 tackles. Defending next to Beau Scott.

In 3 weeks, Adam Doueihi has been asked to make 69 tackles. Defending next to our man Garner.

In week one for Mbye it was 26 tackles.

No one has said too much on Garner at all recently, only when he’s had a few bad games!

50 games only! He’s coming along nicely!

Agree, he had a real good game last night.

He was my pick for tigers POTY before a ball was kicked..may not get there but he’s probably our most improved considering where he was at in the first couple rounds

He has such a good defensive technique that he rattles the opposition ball carriers from time to time
