Luke Lewis

The mole says decision has been delayed by a day or two so we won't know who he has chosen until later in the week now - apparently

So dogs have come in with an offer aye??

Well, in a way this could be good if it's not so much about money as I thought sharks were the main threat… If dogs offer has him confused , then money is talking for sure...

It's all so confusing ...

How could dogs come in with such a huge offer And aren't their back row stocks pretty full with Pritchard, Williams and co? Or maybe he could be lock for them..

For ages I didn't buy into the whole Dogs don't have a cap business, i've always shaked my head at how the Titans seem to have a limitless budget, but i've now seen the light. So for next yr they've signed Perratt, Inu, T-Rex, re-signed a handful of players, and now are making an offer to Lewis supposedly larger then us which means it would have to be inxs of 500K. Has to be a gee up

The cards will fall where they do.

I am confident we have put the best offer we can muster to Lewis. It is out of the clubs control now

If it is true the offer is more than ours I pray we don't get into a bidding war.As many have stated before we can use this sort of money else where on a prop or half.i say call his managers bluff

Yes, surely we've put in our very best bid within constraints of our cap and balance of our squad…

If it doesn't work out we've done our best and we can re evaluate our options..

The dogs are set to let a few players free from the pound to take pressure off their cap. I heard a while ago Eastwood and a couple of others were being shopped around. People talk about the Dogs and their salary cap, we have a fair number of high profile players on good coin too. I think a lot of clubs are sweating on a better deal when the TV rights are decided in a few months, if the cap stays the same their may be some good deals to be had with some clubs being forced to shed players. Interesting times ahead

the funniest thing from all this is Parra offered 700k a season, and they don't seem to be in the running

no one wants to play for them

We have had to bump our offer up by 60k we won't be going higher what's on offer is final. And it's a pretty good deal IMO it's overs

Smoking gun - when you say we've had to bump our offer, do you mean because of the dogs supposed offer ? Or just because of luke/managers wants more ? Are we still in with a shot ?

Naturally :unamused:

I've never seen anybody anywhere believe what they read on forums and twitter with more conviction

he has made his decision. that much i have confirmed (but an unable to reveal source for obvious reasons).
my money is on the tigers though…

it seemed like a bit of a love in after the game.
I think the whole team went up to Lewis for a bit of a chat
Doesn't mean anything but maybe hes already made up his mind??

Why do we want to buy the most expensive players on the market every year?
Is the grass always greener on the other side ?
What chance players like Harris, Davis, Lovett, Santi have ?
Go figure :frowning:

just been fishing the papers and his manager confirmed there could be a deal be done by Wednesday…
i think its looking good for us.... (but i havent been told anything to suggest it is, just my gut feeling)

I suspect Lewis will be wearing Tigers colours next year, but until it's official, I'll refrain from smiling
