I don't believe he really wants to play for us. That's why I still believe he would defect to rugby rather than join us. They would pay him more and that's what he is after.

I think that his and his family were keen on joining Souths but that has been taken out of his options by the Roosters. So now its down to question of is it a good career move, money and length of the contract and it "seems" we are the only club able and willing to offer that as far as the last two requirements on that list.
I guess that understandably he would be rather skeptical and careful when making this decision particularly coming from the premier club to bit of a unknown?
But it seems that he will take the offer and hope for all our sake ..... that it all works out.
Still feel that we need to upgrade or pack with a top line forward with attitude. Packer may deliver some of that depending how he pulls up in preseason but I would prefer having someone like Waerea-Hargreaves, Arrow, Frizell or Jackson (from bulldogs) would be perfect. But not sure whats left in the kitty after we blow close to million on Mitchell.
