In my opinion, Jamie Lyon is a big loss to any NSW side. My mail is that it's not that he doesn't want to play for NSW again, but that he won't play again in a Ricky Stuart coached side. Stuart's intensity and intimidating manner are what turns Lyons off big time. Lyons finds it hard to put in for a guy like Stuart who is disingenuous about winning being for anything other than his giant ego. Forget about the Blues, it's all about Ricky. Get rid of that tool and a genuine star like Lyons would put his name in for the Blues again.

Lyon said he declined to play for NSW because of the abuse he copped when he returned to the NRL. The fact is he should have never been selected when he said he didn't want to play origin. It was one of the dumbest selections I can remember. We don't need him anyway, Jennings and Morris have done very well this series.

Could never figure out why he opted out of Rep footy but I guess he was just the shy country bloke who doesn't like the extra attention, watched him today, he's slimmed down and looks like he really wants to play.
He should take a leaf out of Dale Shearer's book, no matter what form Rowdy was in just prior to Origin he used to call the coach and INFORM them that he was ready to go, Jamie could/is be the missing link that the Blues need.

Can't say I agree with the OP's comments about Stuart's ego and selfishness.
Ricky Stuart bleeds blue - it is so obvious to see. Say what you want about him and how he coaches or selects teams, but he wants to win Origin so dam badly, for the sake of NSW fans and players. I don't really think it is for himself.

thats why Fulton (Buhrer - game 1) & Stuart cant get it right. Thats why we cant win. Wrong centres in the team -scratch Jennings & Morris and insert Jamie Lyon and Matt King. why cant they get it right?

Jamie Lyon has failed at origin level. He is a very good first grader…but he does nothing in origin and should never be considered. Cant believe they keep asking the guy

Except be one of the few players currently in the NRL to say they have won an Origin series for NSW. Hes won 2 infact. Fairly sure only Luke Bailey has him covered with 3 series wins of his own.
