I can't wait for next weeks fish & chips wrapping…

Just to inspire you, did you notice no Magpie on the sleeve tonight?

Kinda over the whinging westies, it's like the old song 'what about me it is isn't fair' etc etc.
When they start getting out to games and supporting the Tigers then I may change my attitude but a few on this forum enjoy having a dig at the WT and Balmain at every opportunity really annoying.

i dont have a problem with there not being a Magpie of the WT Balmain heritage jersey.

The article however makes some valid points about topics we 'westies' are not happy about.

Post it on your own forum then, because I suspect this thread will be locked or deleted by Sunday night.

The Wests Tigers was formed as a LEGACY of both Wests & Balmain. Although it forms a new following with younger generations it carries a huge fan base made up of fans following wests and Balmain for decades. The posting of the link highlights the frustration of some who don't see that legacy being fulfilled.
It is not the fault of WT fans or always the WT club itself but a combination of media outlets who don't seem to honour or recognise the presence of Western Suburbs in its JV with Balmain. Fans are not just whinging for something to do - they are highlighting a matter that is imbedded in their footy DNA.

Hahaah "They"

Thought we all supported the same team???

Weve got such a loooonnnng way to go.

it will take about another 70 years before the balmain and wests bit drops off , the followers of those two clubs will be dead , but until then some of us still love our old club , and if it were not for BOTH of those clubs the younger people may be soufs supporters or even worse manly supporters , so stop whinging sooks

What did Lauryn Eagle say that was incorrect?
Who's home ground is Leichhardt Oval? Its the home ground of Wests Tigers
and its one of the only suburban grounds.
The game was held at Leichhardt Oval and the segment asn't about the Tigers it was about the ground so why should there be any mention of Campbelltown.

And as much as ex-magpies fans hate it if you went around and asked 100 people what the Tigers home ground is I guarentee a majority would say Leichhardt. From outside the Tigers, people see Leichhardt as being more of a Tigers home ground and really don't care much about Campbelltown.

It appears the attitude of ex-Magpie fans being responsible for C-town games and vice verca for ex-Balmain fans at Leichardt will never die. Its a decisive arguement

Well spotted. We are all WT fans. Some Balmain aligned, some Magpies aligned. Most of us geographically mixed also.

It is a completely nothing article and there was nothing wrong with the segment on The Footy Show.

The second point I was trying to make was that Leichardt Oval is held in high esteem by all followers of NRL and the same can't be said for Campelltown. A few people on here seem to think that ground has much more significance than it really does. This is not the fault of the Footy Show, Wests Tigers, or anybody else, it's just the way it is.

You always speak on behalf of everyone sabre?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but a few people think LO is a dump

It's a dump alright, with a capital D.

Last time I was there, dirty toilets, no parking to speak of crappy seating and a couple of stands closed.

On the other hand, Campbelltown is close to a railway station, plenty of parking, short stroll to the ground, easy access by road and a great leagues club right next door. Good seating on two sides of the ground and plenty of hill standing/sitting at either end.

What more could you want?

Anyone who watches the Footy show is not right in the head anyway.

There are definitely differing views about Leichhardt, particularly from within our club's supporters, but from my experience with mates who support other teams they rate Leichhardt ahead of Campbelltown quite significantly. Personally I perfer Leichhardt, but I think Campbelltown is a great venue for us, and when it's packed out can be a real graveyard.

Usual whinging and ok not all Old wests fans just 1 lately…

Ink dont you talk you dont say nothing when someone mentions something bad about balmain but when its the other way around you jump in.Don't say you don't.lol you still love your old club just like i do.

Why dont you say something to someone that starts all these rubbish post.

Leichhardt needs a lot of work thats for sure but i would still like a few games been played there but i wouldn't mind if we had 1 more at c-town then leichhardt

Have the wests heritage game when we play manly and promote it well enough they would get 20 there then they may play more games there if they build the crowds up a bit more

Oh look heres 3rd man in…I will always object whenever someone divides our supporter base.

They

You

Us

them

were all sposed to be on the same page, following the same team....you too have a loooonnng way to go, 3rd man in
