Well to be fair we don't have any excuses, Madge has the coaching and training staff he wants, we've recruited well within our limitations and the boys are as fit as they're going to be, minus Liddle and Packer who are in rehab.

The real litmus test will be the arm wrestle games this year and whether we are good enough to close them out, that will be the difference between making and missing the 8 IMO.

Are our limitations more limited than top 8 sides? I guess what I am saying is we have recruited well as Wests Tigers, but how many other sides are in a better position than us and should really close out the 'top 8' above us? I don't know the answer. We will have to play above ourselves to get there on 2020 I reckon.

I have to agree Willow with your evaluation,however I will be glad when we can secure the hooker role this year,that position is very important to us to complete a great spine...maybe the swap is still on,but HG is still a novice,Josh waiting an outcome but can play..it just leaves a ? mark coming into season 2020...

I will be disappointed if we don't make the 8. The last few seasons I have been hopeful that we would, without expecting to do so.
I actually think we should sneak into the bottom half of the 8 this year.

We currently have reasonable squad and we need a lot of things to go our way to succeed beyond scratching to make the 8.
Also it’s imperative to address our failing to win games that on paper are ours and to put to bed the close ones.
Lot of sides have improved rosters this year so I see us in there competing but no certainty’s to make it.
