I like this , best we have

Best we can do to in Api's absence imo is to play Latu at 9 for the first 20 mins.

Bring Hope on at this point when the ruck speed slows a tad & the ref has settled into the game.

Let Latu recover until 10-15 mins into 2nd half and then unleash him at lock.

Hope is fit enough to play 60 mins. No other better option at hooker without blooding Haywood & that I doubt will be fast-tracked.

I don't mind that but would prefer Murray at 9. Latu at 7. Madden at 18 or 19. Hope at 14. Either Sione/Latu/Hope or Madden can play at 9 when required.

Gives Benji options to use Madden in the halves or Hope as hooker. Sione as an impact forward. ALL based on how Latu is handling #7 & game time.

Give Mason another crack at 1. Either Skelton or Tavana back in on right wing & Turuva to right centre. Tavana was improved in Cup yesterday with runs & catches. He can only defend in a way from the inside. Unfortunately Toa was only average.

Maybe we do need to blood some of those young guys like Attard and Haywood into first grade. Look at what some other teams have done this season. Manly with Joey Walsh, Souths with Seigwalt and Ashton Ward, Newcastle with the two Fletchers. No one had heard of them, but all are playing gangbusters for their respective teams.

Why not find out if some of our highly touted juniors are ready. They might just surprise like those guys have. It can’t hurt, we already have mediocre replacement players and guys playing out of position to cover the injuries and it’s not working. Let’s throw the dice.

1. Mason - He was ok I thought.
2. Turuva
3. To'a - last chance. Tavana was a much bigger problem than him last game and he did better with Turuva outside him last year. He's also a better footy player than Herbert.
4. May
5. Laulilii (why are people dropping him? He's been great lately)
6. Luai
7. Madden
8. May
9. Murray - We need a better defender than Hope in the middle.
10. Pole
11. Sukkar - We missed Sione's impact off the bench and Sukkar is fine. The focus on the left will be May anyway.
12. KPP
13. Twal

14. Sione
15. Hunt
16. Latu
17. Seyfarth
18. Hope
19. Skelton
In the stats ratings website that's widely used, To'a had the lowest rating of any player in the NRL the other week, and one of the lowest rated performances of all time. To'a also negatively contributed to poor Tavana by leaving him stranded multiple times

Wakeham has been good. He is no Api, but at least if we both miss our starting 9s thats something.

I think we will go Latu at 7.

Madden was having a hard time last weekend.

No great options for 9 for us. Maybe Jock Madden at 9?
Latu to 9. We had our best period when he was one for Hope

Attard
Skelton
Turuva
Taylan May
Luke Lualii
Javon Andrews
Luai
Seyfarth (he was one of our best yesterday)
Ethan Roberts
KPP
Twal
Latu
Terrell May

Bench
Sione
Pole
Hunt
Charlie Murray
Mason
Madden

Is Magic Round safe? Judging by the Foxtel/Kayo promo it looks like there will be traffic offences everywhere. We have Johns and his buddy with headrests removed in their moving car; a Titan on a jetski without a PFD; Bwaiff with his head out the window of a moving car (not sure this is a bad thing); Latrine with his hand on the roof of a moving golf cart; and a minibus full of Tahs travelling without seatbelts including the passenger. The fines and demerits points in this ad are ridiculous.

I would agree if Murray has been given reps at dummy half this season but he hasn't and I doubt he has at training either.

I also think Sukkar may come back into left edge backrow as I don't think he was dropped as such, I think he was managing a niggle after the Sharks game.

Except blooding a player in the middle is a lot different than on the edges with the increased levels of physicality & repeat efforts required. Given we have hardly seen Haywood in NSW Cup, I feel that he is being given time to get his body up to a level that high performance man Peter Moussa wants him to.

Roberts looked all right against the storm in nsw cup , but he is a long way off to be picked for 1st grade , think he has only had two runs , he will be good but not yet

Shouldn't Makasini be back soon? will be interesting to see if Benji brings him back or gives him a game or two in KOE.
2 x cup for me , he had injury and his confidence was shot from all the players targeting him and getting to him , he was hit hard a lot in defence from others , he needs full recovery and a few in reserve grade before coming back into nrl
