Not sure what you mean 'if they haven't played NRL'. The club just announced a top 40 squad. Of those, the players who arent part of the top 25 NRL or NYC squads will more than likely make up part of the 2nd tier salary cap. Eg 20-50k plus NRL match payments. The likes of Taumata, Lazarus, Tupou, Akeripa, Davis etc will more than likely be part of this.

The money ? Not from gate receipts thats for sure :stuck_out_tongue:

From Wests Ashfield. Around 500k a year. Without them the club wouldn't exist. At the last AGM it was mentioned that Wests had one of the lowest operating budgets of all the State Cup clubs.

By played NRL ..........I mean to get PAID out of the second tier salay cap by WESTS TIGERS the player must have played for the Wests Tigers.....None of those blokes have yet....and I forgot Gower and Lui for 2009.......

well after talking to a few players this year, the money they were on didnt even pay for the petrol to training and back for the year,.

And sadly its that way this year too.With the exception of nu who got a good upgrade its pretty much the same as ast year.Josh did not resign for the money I can DEFINITELY tell you that. He would of played first grade for nearly every other club by now :supporter: :supporter:

I thought the same of Nick Taylor when he went to the Bulldogs but it hasn't worked out that way for him.

Josh has alot of talent but IMO needs time with the NRL squad to polish and hone his game

Do any of the NRL Clubs with feeder sides put any money into these clubs?. Or just take the better players when their required to play NRL.Maybe this could be a way of helping the NSW and QLD Cup sides stay afoat.Remember footy didn't start at NRL level.My winge for today….......

Maybe with the new broadcast deal comes in more money should be given to this comp itll only take 10 million and it wil pay for every player from every team.considering the money they will get for the new deal 10 million is nothing.Only problem is we must wait until 2013.

another thing the league could look at is giving the clubs a interest free loan till 2013 by improving the comp it would stand a better chance of getting regular tv rights and radio coverage in its own right not to mention supporters and merchandise.If the nrl said they have no funds perhaps one of the big four banks could offer interest free loans in return for sponsorship e.t.c..Maybe even open up a term deposit for 6 months and get a jersey of your favorite team for free. :righton: :righton:
