Nathan Waters named in the squad interesting

Another strong lineup, hopefully the likes of Dwyer, Akeripa, Davis and Pritchard continue to impress.

who did simon dwyer start for last week? did he look good enough for first grade?

i couldnt believe the size of him on the footy show, he looked like he has put on about 20kgs of pure muscle! very similar build to trent waterhouse

Jamie Sharkie was named in the 11 Jumper but was changed to Simon Dwyer on Game day

The Sharks are had a mixed start to the year, but with a nice halves pairing, they will a tough opposition.
Still think that the Magpies are the team to beat this year, and they should win this one too, and help Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers side be on top of the table, that is if they can beat last placed Centurions at Leichhardt.

Wins by both our 2 State Cup teams, should make for a awesome clash at Campbelltown next week for a fight between the Magpies & the Tigers for the top of the ladder spot....Alad's prediction...The Mighty Western Suburbs Magpies to be on top after Round 9......but I have been wrong, many a time

Sharks backline is looking much weaker the last few weeks.

Will be an interesting clash

HaHaHa….not this time....this is one of your 100% correct preditions......I heard the soft latte sipping Tigers don't travel to well out to Campbelltown......It's a bit far to travel and they miss there Mum's....

Lewis comes back home.....should be good

Yeah Geo, I reckon your right, as the Magpies played better that BRET at Leichhardt in Round 2 and should have got the win, except for some Individual effort from Blake Lazarus.

Since it's a NRL Bye for the Wests Tigers hoping that there is a massive crowd at Campbelltown next Saturday to watch this great State Cup clash and to see some of the players that Sheens neglects

Which ever team defends as a unit generally wins these clashes.

Hopefully BRET has some troops back next week but I have my doubts

On the topic of this week I will be interested to see how the Pies actually line up.

The halves is a big issue and they were thin on the ground before Waters call up. Falcone is not really a playmaker from my years watching him.

Maybe Dunley from the Campbelltown Eagles will play halfback for Wests Magpies this week..

I wasn't sure that was possible or I hat was the alternative I presumed.

Dunley is contracted to Campbelltown Eagles whereas Ayoub is contracted to Wests Tigers and as he was not needed by the Magpies he was farmed out to the Eagles.

That is my understanding of it anyway

I'm not sure but I thought the Campbelltown Eagles was used like a feeder club to the Wests Magpies. It would make sense.

liam ayoub is playing for wests this week.

Didnt he trial or play SG ball for balmain a few years ago?

Pretty sure he played SG ball for the Dogs….Was in the team Matraville Sports high? that lost the Arrive alive cup to Kebra last Year....

Will be a tough game for Wests. Inspirational skipper Nathan Waters has been in great form this season and has been excellent in attack. He will be a great loss after his call up to NRL. Corby and Falcone will have to guide the Magpies around the park in Waters absence. Wests forwards will have to really aim up even more to get over there opponents. Hopefully Wests outside men get some quality ball in good field position to strut there stuff. With good ball control and completion rate I can see Wests edging out the Sharks by 6-10.
