Magpies Side Round 8

Looks like a possible wet track.

The top deck of Leichhardt is inaccesible so bring a brolly

should be over 20mins into the game, any players missing or playing who weren't named? interested to see if waters is…

it was a better performance by wests today, big wraps on halfback LIAM AYOUB ,referee blew the pea out of the whistle most of the game ,spoiling what could have been a great game of footy..

Come on tomcat, give us the details mate, who played well, who scored, where can the pies improve?

They improved with the new halfback, his kicks were near perfect, captain Rhys Pritchard scoring off one and going very close on 2 other occasions, this time the ball was going to the right hand side where Akeripa ,who is back to his best was making giant in rodes, slipping good balls to his outside men in Daniella AND PRITCHARD,and scoring a 40 metre try himself, corby hit hard in defence, but came off in the second half for a longer than expected spell.other try scorers were DAVIS ,who played well and Everingham who is improving in leaps and bounds, Keppa also played well , is safe under the high balls and very elusive in attack .. WESTS have a few coming back from injury , including lui , for next weeks game against RYDE…

So Akeripa, Pritchard, Davis and the halfback all went well…Good to hear. How about Simon Dwyer?

That and dropping the ball a lot…

Best for Wests.... CORBY, Pritchard nice kick for the first try versitlity, Georgie, the beast Akeripa and Sharkie apart from his dropped balls....Ayoub went Ok....

Dwyer ran hard hit hard missed a few tackles....

Daniella at times was fast....

Oh and big Cuthbo also contibuted to the Pies victory....

Ayoub was average other than the try he scored. Wests lacked structure without inspirational skipper Magic Waters. They won on the back of some of the lesser names like Sharkie, Poaneki, Pearn and Kara. Lui also provided impact off the bench. Corby was ok and Davis played his usual game. Hit had and ran strong. Dwyer was average. Wests won because they made less errors than the Sharks. I thought it was one of the poorest games I have seen this year….. until I watched the Balmain game following.
