Well done to the Magpies, after a few early defeats this season they've played some pretty good footy, good luck!.

Wests Magpies front rower Dean Rysko was last night awarded the Ron Massey Cup player of the year at the annual NSWRL awards.

The long-serving Rysko was rewarded for his outstanding efforts during 2013 at the 2013 Brad Fittler Medal Night.

Dean rejoined the Magpies this year after previously having given the Club many years of service and has continued to perform above and beyond all expectations.

His high work rate and determination has made "Disco" a favourite player not only of the coaching staff but all the Magpie supporters.

Wests are into the second week of the finals series and will take on Cabramatta Two Blues at the New Era Stadium on Saturday, 14 September at 3:00pm.
