Off topic a bit but has anyone been listening to the dribble that Peter Tunks spews about Wests Tigers chances this year based on the fact that we let players go , our signings etc. I cant wait till we smash his doggies hopefully to put him and his club in place lol.
I'M with you there, and Peter Tunks,a brain dead forward, who cares?
Long time listener. No longer.
I have stopped based purly based on the dislike for tunks.
SEN1170 For.me
Check out the 2x Madge interviews with Jimmy Smith recently.
Im a SEN convert.
I'm not knocking anyone decisions on what radio you listen to ....but people in 2021 are going to write off our chances ...fans on here already are .....
Chances im what? Top 8? Top4? Preimiership?
Top 8 is a possibility but top4 and premiership are pipedreams. 3022/2023 can be possible
So we need to wait 1000 years?
Haha not that long. Hopefully.
It all comes down to Brooks leading this team. If he steps up we can make the 8.
I have been a critic of Lukes a number of times over the years, but as I have watched many a game and his talent is unquestionable,I now realise that in my own opinion the Benji factor really did destabilize his form somewhat and this year he has a clear path to lead the team how he wants....it will be a testing year allround, but I think we will finally see the true Luke Brooks unhindered....
How many years has Brooks been playing now?
I don’t think you can keep blaming others for his efforts, imo, he has never really stepped up to show consistently he is our answer.
However, he is still here, so I hope he can overcome his shortcomings to lead us to the promised land.
I think about 7 in the NRL,they were unstable years, coaches change frequently, inferior forwards pack, overidden by a club icon and generally gameplan and structures due to different coaches....
I think he deserves some leniency and I will stick to my above post...
but you are entitled to your opinion.....
That’s the problem though isn’t it.. he has been in a team that probably hasn’t trained the hardest, had the highest standards or determination. Players were always “comfortable” the ability he has now, he has always had since he got into grade he is happy being comfortable. Hopefully madge has taken the power away from the players and the question asked this year will be, are you prepared to push you limits to improve or will you continue to want to phone it in. Big difference between brooks and Tedesco is that they both could probably see that they weren’t going to be competitive in the next few years - Teddy went to find a team that would push him to excel. Brooks stayed where he was comfortable. (For a tigers fan I thank him)
