Manaia Cherrington to make Debut against the Titans

@7th_Tackle: EARLY MAIL: @mcherrington9 to make his #NRL for @WestsTigers at hooker on Friday night #NRLTigersTitans @7Sport @7NewsSydney

Awesome news. Go Manaia.

That would be something to get excited about if true.

LOL 9 says Brooks to be used 7 says Cherrington,,,,,10..?

He offers something in attack but defensively…I'm not sold, but hey if he gets his chance I hope he kills it. He's certainly got talent and if our forwards can aim up he could cause some damage up the middle as he's quite quick.

Most teams these days have one or in some case two fast energetic no9's and that is where it all starts from. Lets hope Cherrington gets us going forward because it has been a few weeks since we have had any speed around the rucks. Although you would imagine he will be warming the planks for a while

Hopefully he gets his chance this week.Defence is not strong but he will add more to our attack as long as Taylor is prepared to let him

Makes sence bringing him up now Robbie is out for a month or two. Dene will most likely start and Cherrington should see game time at the 30th minute mark.

Good Luck Kid.

I'm not being negative, but Cherrington has apparently some attacking flair and an abundance of talent…it will depend on what structure Taylor wants them to play...if it's the same as the one against the Cowboys, then MC won't have to do to much..,.good luck to him on his FG debut.... 😛ray:

Goodluck Manaia! Well earnt.

If our big boys can protect him a bit in the middle on defence he should go alright. Hopefully JT let's him run a bit

Good to team to debut against…
A lot better than Luani as well.

I reckon he'll go well.

Hopefully he'll add some spark to the attack and get us going forward. That being said, I am wary of adding yet another junior with FA first grade experience into the mix when our regular kids are already struggling.

About a million times better than Luani. But that's not really difficult.

Good news if true, but still, if his instructions are solely to pass the ball to a prop or the halfback then we could have almost anyone playing hooker.

Let's hope Taylor lets him play what's in front of him a little bit.

Thought he played well last week but not sure whether he will meet the defensive requirements BUT good luck to him wil be there to support.
