Manly Side

Very very strong side from Manly, looking through the sides listed this week they would be accross the park the strongest named side IMO.

Granted they have a massive forward pack but half and centre are massive weakness.

If we can't run this team down in the second half then were in for a long season.

1\. Brett Stewart (Makes a return after an injury and suspension riddled 2009\. Looks to have lost weight and has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Has single handedly beaten us a few times)
2\. Michael Robertson (I rate this bloke, he is an absolute specialist who had a big 2008 and will be looking to replicate that form. I would bomb his wing)
3\. Tony Williams (At 192 cm and 114 kg this bloke will cause havoc with the ball in his hands out wide. We will not be able to stop him. On a brighter note he will have a hard time trying to close gaps in defence against some of our nimble players.)
4\. Steve Matai (Will get sent off or come off with a bad head injury. Always causes us problems and needs to be bashed/hit hard early)
5\. David Williams (Will be marking Lote so it will be the 2008 Wallabies winger v's the 2008 Kangaroos winger. Dangerous player that needs to be bombed)
6\. Jamie Lyon © (Crafty and as dangerous as anyone at club level)
7\. Kieran Foran (He is a better player than Matt Orford. Will cut shreds into us if we are not careful)
8\. Jason King (c) (Good player who is as tough as a bull and has put Australian Prop Brent Kite on the bench)
9\. Matt Ballin (On par with the top dummy halves in the NRL. Top player)
10\. Josh Perry (Sluggish and lazy)
11\. Anthony Watmough (Can single handedly destroy us with the blink of an eye. Needs to be hit hard constantly by Ellis and Co.)
12\. Chris Bailey (A bit of a poser but when he is on his game he can be one of the best ball players in the comp)
13\. Glenn Stewart (High work rate. A machine, he is like Chris Heighington but with attacking skills)
-------------
14\. Terence Seu Seu (The X-Factor. I love how this bloke plays. Love it)
15\. Brent Kite (There best metre eater on the bench can only mean trouble for us)
16\. George Rose (Top player, has all the skills, can do everything)
17\. Shane Rodney (Nothing special these days but goes ok)

Foran better than Orford? That's laughable. Maybe one day, but not at this stage. Though to be honest, it'll be hard to ever do a direct comparison. Foran is definitely not a halfback. In his 2006 schoolboys team he was pushed into the lock position with his brother Liam (played a few games with Melbourne and will play for Newtown this season) occupying half and Mitch Pearce at number 6\. He's got nice hands, but doesn't have anything even approaching the playmaking or kicking ability of Orford. He's a defining characteristic is his guts and determination. Absolute heart of a champion.

As you can see I'm a big fan. Claiming him as better than Orford is absurd and is yet another exhibit in the case against you having any idea about football.

Bug might be -ve on Sheens but his assesment of that Manly side is pretty accurate.

I think Manly & the Tigers must be two of the better looking sides that are named this week. They should both be going for the finals this year.

We can win this game but Manly won't be easy.
