Taylor was on the phone straight away to the board members and put O'Neill in , JT hated the fact O'Neill was employed to look over him and was watching him like a hawk regardless what ever O' Neill did was a sackable offence , he did seek legal advice but was told you don't have leg to stand on and it's in your best interests to resign.

The five Wests board members love Taylor and want to extend his contract now , but the other side of the board want to see how he goes next year and make a decision half way through the season.

As for Idris he has not signed yet , should he sign this will leave no money for ET but the club is hoping to move Rankin on which will hopefully leave enough money to sign ET.

Remember a week is long time in League and things change by the day…..

Aren't WT just going to replace Buckets with another person to look over JT?

I know it's the off-season and all, but I found it interesting that WT/Pascoe hasn't made any comments as to whether O'Neill will be directly replaced.

Pretty sure Pascoe is overseas

Yep, I appreciate that, but I thought the initial press release would have mentioned something along the lines of "Wests Tigers will begin the recruitment/interview process for O'Neill's replacement in the new year"

Anyway, guess we'll find out in a few weeks.

So who are the candidates to replace buckets?

Wayne Pearce?
Peter Mullholland?

I cant really think of too many guys who would excel at this sort of role that aren't already tied up at other clubs in similar roles.

Geo, you cannot argue with zealots. They just do not listen. Ignore them.

:crazy :crazy

Actually your inability to see JT's shortcomings would make you the zealot.

Please list for us JT's achievements since coming to the Tigers so we may be swayed, lead us out of our zealous ways.

I am happy to accept JT as the next messiah if you can give me a solid argument.

The IQ's are out force…..Taylor got Buckets sacked, that is the best one I have heard in years.....Sorry to disappoint a few of the anti Taylor team but Buckets got himself sacked .I suppose at least Farah has not been blamed for it to

All clubs have a football manager, so why would JT expect that he would have nobody over him after Buckets' departure? Definitely not a reason for him to do what has been speculated in this thread. Boy, I've heard some good ones in my time but the coach going over the heads of the two most senior people in the club? Think about it!

JT (and Potter ) were and are behind the 8 ball for so many reasons

They are still having to negotiate the atrocious dealings of previous management and still do

The fact that Curtis Sironen was able to take up an option that Grant Mayer created for almost $500 k in 2018 is proof of this

Something's just can't be changed over night and its going to take time or some smart decisions by the current management to get us back in a position of power

It drives me insane that people just can't get it

And based on our current outgoing incomings roster wise we might even go backwards again

But people need to understand we currently have many people in charge who are doing their best to get things right and ARE the right people

As I have said previously Jason Taylor probably won't get to see the hard work he has put in pay off , but in the future with hindsight many will thank him and the current management /board for the hard calls they made that NEEDED to be made

This is about Taylor's supposed behind the scenes plotting to remove O'Neill which it appears you have bought into …Nothing to do with his Coaching...

As Supercoach rightly points out O'Neill got himself sacked...nothing to do with Taylor...

Thats pretty much sums things up. Like you Happy I just don't get it how people don't understand. Both Taylor and the club have been up front about our cap and some of the crazy contracts we entered into and I would imagine the mess will not be sorted before the end of next year. In the mean time we have to try and sign both Moses and Tedesco and maybe Brooks without sending the joint back into a cap black hole again

You mentioned in another post:
"So is Taylor like one of those little school boys that goes running and Dob's. Anyway if o'neill wasn't a bone head then he wouldn't have anything to dob about."

Did this idea come from the "Oxygen" post or do you know for a fact this is what happened? Does Oxygen know for a fact this happened or is it, just chuck in a scenario and hang JT again.

This make up your own scenario about JT has been happening all season and from any number of posters - most without a shred of evidence. But hey - don't let that stop the JT hate.

If by some chance it were true that JT dobbed in O'Neill - would it mean anything if it were not true - did O'Neill leave for nothing - would WT be better off with O'Neill if he did it or if he didn't?

Tune in to the next fictional episode - coming to a Forum near you.

The fellow who coached Western Bulldogs in AFL this year didn't do bad for a low key, relatively low paid coach.

There always seems to be tales about Taylor. Anyway, the fellow who coached Western Bulldogs in AFL this year didn't do too bad for a low key, relatively low paid coach.

Just because some people dont feel the need to highlight JTs failings & shortcomings several times per week doesnt mean they think he is perfect

Its evident where hes gone wrong…weve all read it a thowsund times on here, and you only have to watch the games, however...as it stands, hes the coach, he made some improvements ladder wise last year...some can see that as enough reason to offer some support...it is why were all here after all isnt it?

No I haven't bought into it I was referring to the absurdity of the suggestion by saying is he a schoolboy to go running and dobing.
And in addition i have said o'niell is a bone head for doing what he did.
Please do not assume what I think.

I hear you on the previous management issues but JT would have known that when he took the job. If it was a surprise to him then he took on the job without doing his due diligence.

JT when he first come on board said he was going to fix the defence and he hasn't, he said he was going to give us sustainable football and he hasn't.

That is what I'm judging him on. He tried to tell us that it wasn't about winning games which it is and I am yet to hear anything from anybody on his achievements?

I have said on many occasions that if JT turns things around I will be support him, I don't think the club or board should be discussing contract extensions with him until part the way into next season.

My comment you quoted was a reference to the absurdity that JT would dob on O'niell. If O' niell didn't behave that way then if JT did dob he has given him the reason.

My beef is that if anyone says anything negative about JT people assume that the person making the comment is blinded by JT hatred or a zealot. That's not the case in all instances.

People were happy to believe that RF had so much clout that he could convince our board to sack coachs and that he was the devil incarnate.

As I have said in other posts and threads the fullness of time will show how good JT and his decisions are.

Harassment in the work place is more common than you think, Mark O'Neills impromtu display must have happened right in front of the whole board for his dismissal while other acts apparently occur when no one else is watching, thank god for the Fun Police that there are CCTV/camera's everywhere these days.
