Marshall at fullback

For years I've though that Marshall would make a great fullback based on;
- it would make him dangerous on kick returns - greater return yardage.
- he can play as a second ball player in attack - basically the same as he does now.. but also as a angle runner with the option to pass - similar to Slater/Boyd
- Is fresher in attack due to a lighter defensive load
- stiffen up the front line and the edges by having Sironen at 6\. Marshall was carried a little too much against Newcastle.
- Can support players like Woods than can offload down the middle of the field - like wade mckinnon, hodgson, bowen, slater etc.. adds some punch.
What do you think? I don't think you lose the best of benji by doing this.

Playing at fullback would definitely spark West Tigers in their current state. At fullback he would have the opposition guessing his every move. At five eight or half back they already now his every move. Tedesco could replace Utai on the wing and Sironen/Moltzen would go to 5/8\. Sironen was 5/8 to Miller throughout 2011 in U20's.

His a bit iffy under the high ball
Can't see him putting the body on the line or attacking the ball
Bit slow these days.

Tedesco is the future of wests No.1 all focus should be on him cementing it.

Call me crazy but if anything happened to Tedesco in the future I would like to see lawrence have a run. Got good size, speed and basic kicking game. Even though his defence has looked poor in round 1 it would be better than Benji. I think he was Australia's school boys fullback.

As I have said before, you need a Slater like fullback taht follows through and allow the forwards the option to unload. I think the one up hit ups arent fooling anyone and the one pass from dummy half back on the inside to a forward to run straight at the markers also is not working. These Are issues moe important than trialling marshall at fullback. The chase teams would simply slow down and make a solid defensive line, marshall won't push through that. IMO

I'd actually like to see Marika have a shot at fullback. 90 metre tries would be impossible against him. Seems to have a good aerial game. Like, gee whiz Batman, he's an incredible athlete. Give him the extra run up and let him rip. We'd gain a few extra metres off the kick return too. Think about it, he'd make Moltzen look like a pretzel.

He can barely speak English and is notoriously quiet

He may have the tools but the communication is a major issue ,especially if they can't understand you
