Don't forget we let Fifita go to keep Woods.

Not true .We let Fifita and Gibbs to go to keep Matt Groat

The beginning of our downfall - or the so called breaking "up of the boys" club rebuilding phase.
Thats going real well for us. As I have said before that boys club was the best thing that ever happened to this club and fans bought into all the media crap about the infighting between Farah and Benji about the players running the club blah blah all absolute unubstantiated lies.
We had a group of dedicated players who were tight and loved the club and performed well on the field. And since we turfed them the club has gone backwards and not ever looked like recovering.
Funnily enough the club where most of them ended up has gone on to be in the strongest position it has ever been in.

Thats right.
Bryce was the WT and that was the begging of the end
Fifita won Cronulla a GF last year.
These guys were loyal including Austin who didn't want to leave but the were moved on while our disloyal locals shaft us.

Rubbish - Austin signed with Canberra for the following year on a three year deal.

The Tigers then released him for that year to give someone (Moses I think) a go that wanted to stay at the club (that turned out to be a joke).

However he was going and signed with Canberra before the Tigers knew about it. We did not have a choice - he wanted out, to get out of the big city yadda yadda yadda.

People on hear keep blaming the club for letting Austin and JAC go - they did not have an option. Get it right folks.

Not dispute there mate.

Point is our club invested heavilly in broses at everyone else's expense and as I argued a couple of off seasons ago this was a mistake.
Lets face it.
Farah amongst other things was pushed out to give the young halves better service.
Potter apparently was not liked by them either. People were not resigned because better money was to be offered to them and Tedesco.
And they were sitting on contracts for 6 months and apparently JT was an issue and they got Cleary.

Moses is a massive failure whohas lost us more games then hes won and obviously is creating internal unrest.
Brooks at least has shown something with a good 5/8 ie when Anasta had half a dozen good games.

It was the clubs investment in broses for the future on somebody's advice that got us to this.
This was a new boys club.
I commend Brooks for staying.

As for the others if they don't want to be here on more money thats fine.
But why did it take them 6 months to let everyone know..
Why did Moses not accept a 2.85m offer for 3 years?
Which coach did he not like?
Potter?
JT?
Cleary?

Seems to me someone is trying to destabilize the club.

And they are encouraging players to leave on less money but probably more TPAs to achieve this.

Melbourne saw korobete as a first grade winger and snapped him up,tigers barely gave him a shot in first grade,Melbourne saw Addo-car and saw a first grade winger and snapped him up,he got a few more games in firsts then koro, but with Rankin always picked ahead of you im sure he saw his future as pretty glim,Melbourne saw Papenhuyzen as a young talented back with a big future and snapped him up…..can you see a pattern here?
The storm keep stealing our players from underneath the Wests Tigers noses because the club is too slow at recognizing talent and securing it.

I see a pattern of you cherry-picking 3 players, one of whom left after one contract, one who is 7 weeks into a new contract and one who has not even played one FG game yet.

You could argue that Melbourne have a habit of buying Tigers players who leave them for rugby.

We know the JAC story, contrary to what you write, was recognised and secured from Sharks NYC. Rankin got picked first, JAC got annoyed and sounded out other clubs, Melbourne put in an offer. He didn't inform Tigers and when Tigers moved on his next contract, he tried to renege and could not.

Melbourne buy and churn through the same number of footballers as other clubs, if you keep a list of the players they gamble on, you will find a lot who do not end up playing FG. However what Melbourne do have is a very good team-building system and they have an ability to find players who fit their needs and play to team game plan.

You left our Junior Moors, how did he go at Melbourne?

My point was champ that we all saw potential in korobete and JAC and they both were not given much of a chance in firsts here and Melbourne snapped them up.These guys both are a step up from Jordan Rankin and kevin Naquama.Junior Moors showed little promise so it can be understood why he wasnt kept, but losing korobete and JAC to Melbourne were mistakes we could of and should avoid in the future.

Jac, Koro, Austin releases were criminal all players were showing brilliance. It's a myth they turned into stars when they left. They improved but were always going to be stars.

Another blinder from Jac after Marty's performance on Friday.
All these players lost to try to keep guys who are leaving.

Unless you count the 2 Tries scored down his side and Blake Ayshford making him look silly a few times then yeah,,,blinder..

Can you stop, neither Taupau or JAC had anything to do with retaining the footballers who are now leaving. Taupau took a much bigger offer at Manly that we couldn't match, JAC signed before Tigers had made him an offer.
