Marty Taupau - My New Favourite Tiger

Well it has taken a little bit but I have to admit that My New Favourite Tiger is Marty Taupau.

It is on the record.

That Image Yesterday in the Test after Thaidays cowardly choke hold was the moment I could no longer deny the feelings.

I admire the courage, the hard work and the honesty portrayed on and off the field. A family man He is the epitome of what I believe the Wests Tigers players / Culture should embody.

Wests Tigers Management Take note and do what is required.

The intent on his eyes yesterday to Thaiday is what is all about . The passion for the Jersey and what it means to him was so evident yesterday

Marty coming on gave the kiwis a huge lift, and had me barracking for them (made easier because Woods went off about the same time…)

So yeah, I guess that makes him a favourite of mine too!

I've always been a fan. He is strong and super aggressive. He runs with little self preservation and hits with his shoulder.

He has all the attributes that Woods lacks.

My girlfriend freaked out a bit when I first told her my man crush was big Marty.

He is a beast, and yesterday showed how good he could be. His impact off the bench is a joy to behold, however I enjoy him starting for us. Really do hope he stays for life, could be huge for us for the next 10 years!

He used to run with little self preservation

Now he is more concerned about getting to the ground quick and getting a quick play the ball

Brooks try was a good example of this last Friday week

Also probably has something to do with the extra minutes he is now required to play

Tolman ,Graham ,Kasiano ,Klemmer , even Eastwood if required

I don't think he loses sleep personally

I wouldn't have any of them over Taupau and it's not a bias opinion either.
