Forget Taupau over hyped ,jumped ship as soon as he could ,I would NEVER pay the money he wants for the short burst he puts in has no motor at all .For a big man his defence is soft Cleary will not pay that money for a bit player he will not be at our club!

From what I remember, he had a year left to run on his contract here, and we didn’t have 2 sticks to rub together and would have been zero chance to retain him when he was off contract anyway. So to avoid him being another Tuiaki and suffering a career ending injury without being able to cash in, Taylor did him a favour and let him go a year early.

The emotions for Marty on this forum are unbelievable….he left us for better money and got it...he now sees us as a club going very well,but the $$$$$ signs were far greater than loyalty and hard work,which this team atm are doing and giving very well...he would be a reasonable bench player at best....and he would want big$$$$ to be there....just my thoughts,but don't let me spoil the emotion party..... :blush:

Yeah funny the stats forgot to mention the 6 handling errors that kept Newcastle in the game.
