Its hard to say. From a footballing perspective it could be a great thing for the club. If Mason could recapture some of the form from his past and play some decent football he could be great for the club. We're short on props depth wise.
From a club and professional perspective it could be detrimental to the development of our young props. Theres nothing I can say about Mason that no one here doesn't know already, we'll just say he is a first class moron and he would be an awful role model for our younger props.
Its a risk versus reward decision here. For me the risk is much greater than the reward. So i'm going to have to say no.

no, the guy is a moron, he tears apart every club he goes to, he brings others around him down with him and signing him will only end in tears. He's played about 6 good games since 2006\. If we're stupid enough to sign this idiot, we deserve whatever he does to our club, it isn't 2004 anymore, he's not one of the best forwads in the world.

Would not go anywhere near the bloke even if he was at the top of his game. The guy has a unhappy knack of being at clubs that have dramas on and off field. Sorry it would be a backward step and it would be sending a bad message out to all the kids busting their guts out for their crack at the big time

Even if he were a complete angel both on and off the field (doubtful) in his time at the club, the media would be following him like a bad smell, waiting for him to slip up. this exposes all of the tigers players to unnecessary media attention which turns minor indiscretions into back page news. The scandal with benji and fultons missus shows that the media is only barely above blatantly making up news and Willie mason in a tigers jersey would be too good for the telegraph to resist. This really feels like a signing we would have made ten years ago doesn't it?

We have worked so hard on the Tigers brand to the point where we have handed one of our best prospects in Rob Lui to a rival club (Prior to any conviction etc…..).
