i've been taking a few photos this year at games so will post some here each week. None are for any commercial gain. just a hobby.

here are a handful from yesterday at Parra.

Curtis Sironen starred for the NYC team with 2 tries and 5 goals. looks the goods at just 17 years of age. Ran strongly and set up his outside men well on the left edge. Solo try in the 2nd half oozed class.

They're great Sincas. I especially like the ones of Benji passing the ball and the huddle. Look forward to next week's installment.

Well mate, you're getting some quality results, that 550 is a good unit. I'm still in midfield with a Nikon D80, but looking to upgrade next year. Try Picasa (via Google) if you haven't done so already. It's a fantastic editing tool that's free, with straightforward features and immediate results….I'm bone lazy, so it suits me

You've inspired me to take the DSLR along this Sunday, will be shooting from behind the posts, next to the KB stand....cheers

here are some of my favourites this season

Thanks mate. Appreciate it. Very much a beginner in terms of photography knowledge but have been taking sporting pics for a few years now. check out http://www.wix.com/sincas3/sincasphotography" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for some of my better stuff. have been lucky enough to catch some sporting events around the world at the highest level (NBA, NFL, NHL, Premier League soccer, boxing, pro surfing in Hawaii, cricket, rugby league and rugby union in UK and Aus) and never leave the camera behind. My old Sony digital camera had a good zoom but the SLR is so much sharper. The only trip the camera won't be making is the Gold Coast next weekend because it may get drowned in gareth army beer.

Good site Sincas, jeez you bloody get around, that's an outrageously impressive range of attendances, have the Fanatics offered you a Gold Membership? Done the EPL, The Tour De France, Cardiff Arms, Twickenham and The Oval, have Lords and Wimbledon on the bucket list….Have you done the Boxing Day Test yet? If not, do it, it's premium in every way

Looks like you shoot from the half way line or thereabouts?

haha, can't say i'm a big fan of the Fanatics but i did catch two Socceroos games with them in London. I could always get better seats at much cheaper rates than they could offer. yeah i forgot to mention Wimbledon. that was great fun. i lived in london for 18 months and used it as a springboard to launch a sporting tour of the northern hemisphere in between work commitments.

Funnily enough, i haven't been to the MCG but have Ashes tickets this year in Adelaide, Perth and Sydney. Will save MCG and Hobart for future years but a Boxing Day attendance is definitely on the To Do list.

my seats at the home games are up in the stands (between 20 and halfway) but i prefer the front on photos so try and get some from behind the posts in the lower grades before taking my seat for 1st grade. at away games, i'm usually down in the concourse so get some different angles.
