WALKING WOUNDED: How long have you got as we work our way through the Wests Tigers' casualty list? Chris Lawrence is gone for most of the season - if not the entire year - after dislocating his hip in one of the ugliest injuries seen in the NRL for some time. Lote Tuqiri is out for at least two months with a broken arm and half Robert Lui (ankle) is also gone. Liam Fulton, Bryce Gibbs and Beau Ryan have shaken off their hangovers but are still missing. Coach Tim Sheens can't remember a worse injury toll in his time - and he's been around since Dally Messenger took his first hit up. The reliable Mitch Brown comes in for Tuqiri, the experienced Tim Moltzen replaces Lawrence and the unknown Jacob Miller is the new No.7.
The Roosters have no major injury worries apart from the loss of winger Sam Perrett (ankle).
FORM: The Roosters almost came to get the Bulldogs last Sunday but ran out of time and troops. Coach Brian Smith blamed himself after a late injury robbed him of a player after all his interchanges had been used. But if the truth be known, that game was still there for the winning and the Chooks weren't good enough. The Bondi boys are 1-2 and need to win.
The Tigers have chalked up back-to-back home victories but are still some way off their best. The next few weeks, while they have so many players missing, will be crucial to the Tigers' season.
WHO'S HOT: Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah will be needed like never before as the depleted Tigers limp through the next few rounds. Farah has been his usual consistent self while Marshall has been laying on most of his side's points. Sheens says Benji is still off his best, but the veteran coach hands out praise about as often as Nathan Tinkler walks past an open buffet. Mose Masoe sported a Mr T Mohawk against the Dogs and you had to pity the fools employed to bring him down. He was a one man wrecking machine. SKD is also getting back to his 2010 form.
WE THINK: It's hard to see anything but a Roosters victory here - and a handsome one at that. There's simply too much talent missing from the Tigers' 17\. Having said that, the Chooks were supposed to see off a depleted Manly a fortnight ago and weren't up to the task. Marshall and Farah will ensure they stay competitive but it risks falling apart at the back-end of the game when the home side's experience and class should get them home. The last time these two sides met they produced an epic golden point semi-final shoot-out. It won't be that close this time around. Roosters by 13
