I think our discipline requires a shout out.
In the past 5 weeks, we have had 1 Send Off and 0 Sin Bins.
In the 5 weeks previous we had 0 Send Offs and 6 Sin Bins
In the past 5 weeks we have had 6 instances put on report for 3 guilty charges
In the 5 weeks previous we had 7 instances put on report for 5 guilty charges
This is a great turnaround and the team is clearly working on things

Our penalties, infringements and errors however have maintaned their levels and whilst they havent gone backwards, we require a lot of work on them in the off season along with our defence which has slightly improved the past 5 weeks from averaging 44 missed and 14 ineffectual a week to 39 missed and 10 ineffectual.

It should be noted that we have won 3 of the past 5 penalty counts.

I know you don't like ref bashing, nor do I really, but last night, after 5 minutes, I thought "we can win this because this ref is on our side." I'm not sure if that was because we were simply getting a fair go, which isn't usually the case, or we were getting the 50/50's for a change and Manly weren't.
The game is all about momentum and we had it, they didn't. I don't think Olokulatu's tackle was high but their best forward was off for 10. The Bullemore bin.... really? Forward passes were called! We had 6 penalties in a row.
There's not really that big a difference between, say, the bottom 12 teams so if you're allowed to play, any team can beat any other team. I noted the ref fiddling with his earpiece when Olokulatu was being sent, so the bunker is obviously the greatest influence. I wonder if the NRL are preferring to have a Qld team in the finals...

I don't think it is just a coincidence that the discipline has improved markedly since Bateman went back to the UK

Roosters veteran Jared Waerea-Hagreaves is facing a three-match ban for a high shot on Titans hooker Sam Verrills during Sunday's clash on the Gold Coast.

In his first game back from a four-match ban for a Careless High Tackle, Waerea-Hargreaves has been hit with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle charge for the 10th minute incident that saw him sent to the sin bin.

Should he enter an early guilty plea, Waerea-Hargreaves would miss the final two regular season games and the Roosters' first final. If he fights the charge and is found guilty at the judiciary, the penalty increases to four matches.

Bulldogs captain Stephen Crichton may not play again before the finals after being charged with a Careless High Tackle following Friday night's win over the Warriors.

The tackle on Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in the 46th minute was placed on report and has been assessed as a Grade 2 offence, which carries a one-game ban with an early guilty plea.

Should Crichton fight the charge and be found guilty at the judiciary he will miss two games, sidelining him until week one of the finals.

Manly prop Taniela Paseka has pleaded guilty to a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle for his role in the same hit and will pay a $1000 fine. Team-mate Haumole Olakau'atu has also taken the early guilty plea after being hit with a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge. It is his third offence for the season and he will pay a $3000 fine.

Storm prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona will only miss one game at the start of the 2025 season after it was ruled that three of New Zealand's Pac Champs game would count as part of his ban.

Olam got 3 weeks, but the club made the strange decision to push the issue without fighting the charge and cop the 4 weeks.

Imagine how long JWH would spend on the sideline if he was a Wests Tiger.

Don't get me started on Crichton, surprised he has been charged at all being the protected species that he is, should have been rubbed out of the game for jamming his filthy snotty nose in another players mouth.

Fithy f*ckin' grub waits until after the game to make a complaint, couldn't believe his luck that got away with not getting penalised after his grubby actions in that tackle on poor old Flanno.

How does paseka not get even one week with a shoulder to the cheekbone.

Round 25 results at the judiciary. Another clean sheet for us. The lead we had for bad behaviour has been rundown by the Roosters who are having an appalling back half to the year.
110 sin binnings combined with 2 rounds to go is shocking. Likewise 126 weeks of suspensions.

Final results involving discipline for the season. Im sure this will be expanded upon in the finals series to some extent.
As for the premiership rounds, the results are below: Sin bin was used so many times, it is the second highest total of the NRL era. 134 weeks of suspensions is very high as well.
