Although champion @TheEnz, the judiciary pulled out the "Latu has priors card" and so explains the 3 weeks out, without any reduction on appeal.

My comment is more about the fact that some players get sin binned and others don't, yet may get charged for the same thing and cop the same suspension. Its a question of why don't they get a reduced sentence for time already served i.e. the sin bin and penalty during the game. Clubs whose players were sinbinned, penalised and then suspended are punished more than a club whose player may have done something that was completely missed by the Ref and only charged after the game or a ref was inconsistent (shock horror) and did not sin bin the player.

I reckon Leo Thompson’s stance leaning in to the tackle was half the reason it looked so dramatic .. he was already halfway into a flip lol. IMO Latu put himself on a collision course and was lucky to not get himself seriously injured himself. Just an all round weird situation

I thought Thompson not only lent into the tackle, but he also led with his left forearm, and if Latu hadn't dropped lower, he could have sustained a serious injury himself. My thoughts are that a player running the ball at speed directly at the defence needs to have some responsibility for the outcome of the tackle. Be it with knees or elbows, possibly shoulders and head as well.

And I agree.
Consistency and fairness across the board just doesn't happen.

Knowing if I keep running at full speed I am going to get hurt or he is, " thinking ?? "
I know, I will slow down or just simply step to the side a bit, that way I might avoid an incident, No I think I will just lean forward and totally destroy this little prick.

They suspend on optics it’s as clear as day … Latu’s tackle was just a smaller man bracing for impact

The Doueihi tackle had more intent, he was trying to make a big tackle for his teammates that went wrong

This was not even a penalty earlier this year
